Is Islam a pagan religion?

Is Islam a pagan religion?

37:95 He said, "Do you worship that which you carve 37:96 While Allah created you and that which you do?"

(It is explicitly forbidden to worship something carved. One interpretation of Verse 37:96, and according to the context (37:95), is that God created mankind, and that which mankind do is also His creation (e.g. that which you carve), so the Verse does not mean that God made you an idol in the creation, but people wrongly took His creation to carve it (e.g. a stone), but the carved thing is still creation, not a deity)(On the other hand, some Christians make images of, for example, Jesus and Mary, while it is prohibited in the Bible and in the Qur’an. The Bible in Exodus 20:4 says, you shall not make for yourself a carved image”)(Allah knows best)

10:37 And it was not that this Qur’an could be produced by other than Allah, but (it is) a confirmation of that which was before it and a detailed explanation of the Book, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.

(God revealed the Qur’an. Muslims do not follow a man-made religion. On the other hand, there are man-made concepts in Judaism and Christianity)(See below the articles “How the Qur’an corrects Christianity?” and “How the Qur’an corrects Judaism?”)(Allah knows best)

37:124 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear? 37:125 Do you call upon Baal and leave the best of creators – 37:126 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"

(It is said that “Allah” and “ilah” in the Qur’an use the same Semitic root than “eloah”, “elah”, “el” and “elohim” in the Bible)(Allah is the One Who also revealed the Torah and the Gospel (3:3))(Some non-Muslims invented that Allah is Baal, but it is explicitly denied in the Qur’an (37:125-126))(So, in Islam, calling upon other than God is idolatry. On the other hand, some Christians call upon invented Saints, or upon Jesus, or upon Mary; and some Christians stand in front of its statues or images, while it is forbidden in the Bible and in the Qur’an)(The Bible, in Exodus 20:4, says, “you shall not make for yourself a carved image”)(The Jews follow their rabbis and scholars, instead or besides God. Obeying a matter that opposes God may imply polytheism (6:121))(Allah knows best)

53:19 So have you seen the Laat and the Uzza, 53:20 And Manaat, the third, the other one? 53:21 Is for you the male and for Him the female? 53:22 This, then, is a division unfair. 53:23 They are not except names which you have named, you and your forefathers, for which Allah has not sent down any authority. They do not follow except assumption and what their souls desire. And certainly the guidance has come to them from their Lord. 53:24 Or is for man what he wishes?

(Some non-Muslims say that al-lat is God’s wife, and some other non-Muslims say that it is His daughter, but the Qur’an explicitly says that God has not taken a wife (72:3), and God has not taken daughters (16:57), and al-lat/laat is referred as a name invented by people (53:23))(Allah knows best)

9:30 And the Jews said, "Uzair is son of Allah." And the Christians said, "Messiah is son of Allah." That is their saying with their mouths, they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before. (May) Allah destroy them. How deluded are they.

(The Judeo-Christian concept “son of God” is not from God, but from those who disbelieved before (9:30). Jews and Christians are the pagan ones)(Allah knows best)

5:18 And the Jews and the Christians said "We are the children of Allah and His beloved." Say, "Then why does He punish you for your sins?" Nay, you are human beings from among those He created. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And for Allah is the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the final return.

(God neither begets nor is begotten (112:3). He is the Creator of everything (6:102))(Allah knows best)

5:75 The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a Messenger, certainly Messengers had passed before him. And his mother was truthful. They both used to eat food. See how We make clear to them the Signs; then see how they are deluded.

21:8 And We did not made them bodies not eating food, nor were they immortals.

(God is not sustained by His creation, but He is the Sustainer of existence (2:255 and 3:2). So, He does not have to create/eat food in order to keep Himself alive)(God is Eternal. On the other hand, the food was created from nothing, and for the creatures in a specific time and purpose)(Jesus used to eat food. Christians wrongly believe that Jesus is God, that’s idolatry)(Allah knows best)

6:14 Say, "Is it other than Allah I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and the earth, while it is He Who feeds and is not fed?" Say, "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first who submit and ‘Do not be of the polytheists’."

2:135 And they said, "Be Jews or Christians, then you will be guided." Say, "Nay, the religion of Abraham, the upright; and he was not of those who associated partners."

9:31 They have taken their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah, son of Mary, as Lords besides Allah. And they were not commanded except to worship One God. There is no god except Him. Glory be to Him from what they associate.

(Muhammad only follows what was revealed to him from God (7:203). On the other hand, some Jews and Christians follow what their chiefs say, so they do not follow the correct religion anymore. Jesus never followed any Pope, rabbi or monk. Christianity is also based on the false teachings of Paul, while it is forbidden inventing a falsehood about God (4:171, 7:105))(See the article below: “Jesus vs. Paul”)(Allah knows best)

7:203 And when you do not bring them a Sign, they say, "Why have you not devised it?" Say, "I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This is enlightenment from your Lord and guidance and mercy for a people who believe."

5:103 Allah has not made Bahirah, Saibah, Wasilah, and Hami. But those who disbelieved, they invent a lie against Allah, and most of them do not use reason.

23:91 Allah has not taken any son, nor is there any god with Him. Then surely each god would have taken away what he created, and surely some of them would have overpowered others. Glory be to Allah above what they attribute.

(Christians worship Jesus, and some of them worship Mary and invented saints (e.g. Catholics ask for things to Mary and invented saints). Jesus never did it. Jesus only worshiped God)(Jesus is not God or the son of God. See the link below “Is Jesus God or the son of God?”)(Allah knows best)

5:116 And when Allah said, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, "Take me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?" He said, "Glory be to You, it was not for me to say what I had no right. If I had said it, then surely You would have known it. You know what is in myself, and I do not know what is in Yourself. Indeed, You, You are All-Knower of the unseen.

13:13 And the thunder glorifies His praise and (so do) the Angels for fear of Him. And He sends the thunderbolts and strikes with it whom He wills, yet they dispute about Allah. And He is Mighty in Strength. 13:14 To Him is supplication of truth. And those whom they invoke besides Him, they do not respond to them with a thing, except like one who stretches his hands towards water to reach his mouth, but it does not reaches it. And not is the supplication of the disbelievers but in error.

3:2 Allah - there is no God except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all that exists. 3:3 He revealed to you the Book in truth which confirms that which was before it and He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.

25:58 And put your trust in the Ever-Living, the One Who does not die, and glorify with His Praise. And sufficient is He regarding the sins of His slaves, All-Aware,

52:35 Or were they created of nothing, or are they the creators? 52:36 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they are not certain.

(Only the non-powerful ones “become” a man, because man is created, so man cannot create himself, and man has not the choice. And only the non-powerful ones die. Man cannot prevent death and they do not know when they will be resurrected (16:21))(Allah knows best)

28:68 And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses. They do not have the choice. Glory be to Allah and High is He above what they associate.

41:37 And of His Signs are the night and the day and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun and nor to the moon, but prostrate to Allah , Who created them, if it should be Him alone that you worship.

(Some non-Muslims say that Muslims worship the moon, while it is explicitly denied in Verse 41:37)(The crescent moon is not even a symbol of Islam. See the article below “Is the crescent moon a symbol of Islam?”)(Allah knows best)

3:51 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path."

13:36 And those to whom We have given them the Book, rejoice at what has been revealed to you, but among the groups (are those) who deny a part of it. Say, "I have only been commanded to worship Allah, and not associate partners with Him. To Him I call, and to Him is my return."

3:85 And whoever seeks other than Islam as religion - then never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be from the losers.

("Muslim" is an Arabic word meaning "one who submits (to God)"; and “Islam” is an Arabic word meaning “submission (to God)”. That’s the religion preached by Jesus and all Messengers. According to Luke 22:42, Jesus said, “yet not my will, but yours be done”)(The names “Jew” and “Judaism” are derived from “Judah”, who was the name of one of Jacob’s twelve sons, so the Prophets weren’t Jewish. The true religion is not named after a person. And the disciples were called “Christians” first in Antioch (Acts 11:26), so the word “Christian” was innovated because it is not mentioned in any of the four Gospels. The disciples declared themselves “Muslims” (aka submitters (to God)(3:52))(See the article below “Were the Prophets Jews or Christians?”)(Note: the word “Christian” is also not used in the Qur’an; the literal translation of the Arabic word is “Nazarenes” ((followers of) the Nazarene))(Allah knows best)

22:78 And strive for Allah with the striving which is due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you any difficulty in the religion. The religion of your father Abraham. He named you Muslims before, and in this, that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over mankind. So establish prayer and give zakah (charity) and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protector - so an Excellent Protector and an Excellent Helper.

3:95 Say, Allah has told the truth, then follow the religion of Abraham, upright; and he was not of the polytheists. 3:96 Indeed, the first House set up for mankind was that at Bakkah, blessed and a guidance for the worlds. 3:97 In it are clear signs, the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it - is safe. And to Allah upon the people is a pilgrimage to the House – for whoever is able to it a way. And whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.

(Muslims follow the religion of Abraham. Before Abraham, people also had same or similar Laws in order to submit. Adam was the first human and was ordered to submit to God, and “Islam” means “submission (to God)”, so Islam is the oldest religion)(Allah knows best)

4:166 But Allah bears witness to that which He has revealed to you. He has sent it down with His Knowledge and the Angels bear witness. And Allah is sufficient as a Witness.

(God revealed the Qur’an. Muslims do not follow a man-made religion)(See the article below: “Is Islam a new religion? Does Muhammad differ from other Prophets?”)(Allah knows best)

26:192 And indeed, it is surely a Revelation of the Lord of the worlds.

4:48 Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives other than that for whom He wills. And whoever associates partners with Allah, then has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin.

5:72 They certainly disbelieve who say, "Indeed Allah - He is the Messiah, the son of Mary." While the Messiah said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates partners with Allah, then surely Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and his abode will be the Fire. And there will be no helpers for the wrongdoers.

14:11 Their Messengers said to them, "We are not but human like you, but Allah bestows His Grace on whom He wills of His slaves. And it is not for us that we bring you an authority except by the permission of Allah. And upon Allah let the believers put their trust.

(Muslims do not worship Muhammad)(Some non-Muslims call Muslims “Muhammadans”, and they call Islam “Muhammadanism”, in order to wrongly make it look like a pagan religion created by a human, instead of by God, but the words “Islam” and “Muslim” are mentioned in the Qur’an; and Muhammad is a servant of God (17:1); he only follows what is revealed to him from God (7:203). And the Qur’an confirms previous Scriptures, and explains matters which are mentioned in the Bible (10:37))(Christians and Jews are the ones who invented new concepts, and differ and contradict each other)(Allah knows best)

4:46 Among the Jews are those who distort words from their places and they say, "We hear and disobey" and "Hear but be not heard” and "Raina", twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said, "We hear and obey" and "Hear and look at us”, it would surely have been better for them and more suitable. [And] but Allah cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

3:144 Muhammad is not but a messenger. Messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah (in) anything; but Allah will reward the grateful.

46:9 Say, "I am not a new (one) among the Messengers and nor do I know what will be done with me and with you. I follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."

21:66 He said, "Then do you worship besides Allah that which does not benefit you in anything nor harms you?

(Muslims only worship Allah)(Allah means “the God”. That Word in Arabic has no gender, nor plural, because God is One)(Allah knows best)

2:143 And thus We made you a community of the middle way so that you will be witnesses over mankind, and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We didn’t make the direction of prayer (l-qib’lata) which you were used to except that We make evident (he) who follows the Messenger from (he) who turns back on his heels. And indeed, it was certainly a great (test) except for those whom Allah guided. And Allah will not let go waste your faith. Indeed, Allah is Full of Kindness towards mankind, the Most Merciful. 2:144 Indeed, We see the turning of your face towards the heaven. So surely We will turn you (falanuwalliyannaka) to the direction of prayer (qib’latan) that pleases you. So turn (fawalli) your face towards the direction (shatra) of Al-Masjid Al-Haraam. And wherever you are, turn (fawallu) your faces towards its direction (shatrahu). And indeed, those who were given the Book, surely know that it is the truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.

(The Qur’an does not say that you must worship the Kaaba at all, but the Verse confirms that it is a “direction of prayer”, and prayer is a matter of obeying God. But, disbelievers falsely claim that Muslims worship the Kaaba. Notice that Verse 2:144 says, “turn your face towards the direction of Al-Masjid Al-Haraam”, rather than saying “turn your face towards Al-Masjid Al-Haraam”)(Because the earth is spherical, according to Verse 2:144, the Kaaba is a direction of prayer. “Facing” implies “turning/orientated toward”. Even if the Ka’bah is faced, it is a direction of prayer. And even if “Qaf-Ba-Lam” was to imply to only facing, in front of the Kaaba, the Verse says “you” in singular, so it was only addressed to the Messenger, who lived there. While the following sentence of the Verse is in plural, so it is addressed to everybody, and mentions “its direction”: “(so) turn (fawallu) your faces towards its direction”. So, it uses the word “shatrahu” (its direction), instead of “Qibla”. So, it is a direction)(The word “turn / direct” (Waw-Lam-Ya) is also said in singular (2:144): “So turn (fawalli) your face towards the direction (shatra)”. So, it was also a “direction” for the Messenger)(In Verse 2:144, “Waw-Lam-Ya” is translated as “turn”, but it also means “direct”. So, it confirms that it is a direction, and is the word used to order it “turn/direct your face/s towards the/its direction”. So, the Verse does not say or imply that you would always face / be in front of the Kaaba while you stand, but you turn towards a direction of prayer, and the Verse does not say or imply that the earth is flat. See also the link below “Does the Qur’an say the Earth is flat?”)(In conclusion, you follow/turn/are near/close to a certain (earthy) direction/course/route)(Another point is that Verse 2:144 says that he was previously turning of his face towards the heaven, it does not mean that he worshiped the heaven either. Nowhere in the Qur’an tells you about worshiping other than God, but turning your face towards that direction implies obeying/worshiping God)(The root of “qib’lata” (direction of prayer) is “Qaf-Ba-Lam” and it means “to accept, to face someone / something, the front part; qabala – turn towards; qibala – in the direction of, toward, etc.”)(The root of “shatra” is “Shiin-Tay-Ra” and it means “the direction of, towards, etc.”)(And the root of “wallu” is “Waw-Lam-Ya” and it means “turn, follow, etc”)(Allah knows best)

2:115 And for Allah (is) the east and the west, so wherever you turn, there is the face of Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing.

(Verse 2:115 confirms that when you turn towards any direction, there is the face of God, so you worship God)(Allah knows best)
