Can you eat non-halal meat? / Is it forbidden to eat pork? Is there any other forbidden meat in Islam?

Can you eat non-halal meat? / Is it forbidden to eat pork? Is there any other forbidden meat in Islam?

5:3 Are made unlawful for you the dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which is dedicated to other than Allah, and that which is strangled, and that which is fatally hit, and that which has a fatal fall, and that which is gored by horns, and that which ate the wild animal except what you slaughtered, and that which is sacrificed on stone altars, and that you seek division by divining arrows - that is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of your religion; so do not fear them, but fear Me. This day I have perfected your religion for you and I have completed My Favor upon you, and I have approved for you Islam as a religion. But whoever is forced by hunger with no inclination to sin, then indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 5:4 They ask you what is made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are the good things and what you have taught of hunting animals, ones who train animals to hunt, you teach them of what Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah on it, and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is swift in taking account. 5:5 This day good things are made lawful for you; and the food of those who were given the Book is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those who were given the Book before you, when you have given them their bridal due, being chaste, not being lewd, nor ones (who are) taking secret lovers. And whoever denies the faith - then surely his deeds are wasted and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.

(“Non-halal” means “unlawful”. A Muslim cannot eat unlawful meat)(Each’s food is lawful to each other (5:5) because the Qur’an prohibits in Verse 5:3-5 that meat which is prohibited in the Bible)(The Qur’an tells about “their food” being allowed, but Christians do not eat “their food” anymore unless they eat Muslims’ food, because Christians, in that case, do not follow their own religion, that is because the same food is prohibited in the Bible and in the Qur’an)(Verse 5:5 specifies “good things are made lawful for you”, so the dead animals, blood, pig meat, etc., are not good things)(The Bible, in Acts 15:29, says, “you are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things”. Other verses in that sense: Acts 15:20, Acts 21:25, Exodus 34:15, Revelation 2:20, Deuteronomy 14:21, Leviticus 22:8, etc.)(In regard to pig meat, it is forbidden in Deuteronomy 14:8, Leviticus 11:7-8, Isaiah 66:17, Isaiah 65:2-4, etc.)(According to Christians some verses in the Bible declare all foods clean (e.g. Mark 7:15-20), but it contradicts the Torah, the Gospel Itself and the Qur’an. And Mark 7:15-20 is an “allegorical” verse, while the clear verses are the ones to be followed (3:7), so Mark 7:15-20 did not allow that food which was forbidden in the Torah)(Matthew 5:17 says “do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them”)(In the Bible, there is no an explicit mention of non-halal / unlawful meat to be allowed (e.g. it does not explicitly say that pig meat is allowed), but it is an assumption and a misinterpretation. It also contradicts early Christians’ practice of following the Law of Moses (e.g. Acts 15:5, 15:20))(Even if Mark 7:15-20 was to declare all foods clean, it is said that Jesus did not write the Gospel, but, the Gospel is anonymous, and was written in Greek, instead of Aramaic, and the oldest Bibles and the current one differ with each other, so it is not a reliable source)((The Qur’an confirms that which God revealed in it, not that which God did not reveal (5:47))(See also the article below, “Does the New Testament abrogate the Old Testament?”)(Allah knows best)

3:7 He is the One Who revealed to you the Book, in it are Verses which are absolutely clear - they are the foundation of the Book, and others are allegorical. Then as for those in whose hearts is perversity - [so] they follow what is allegorical of it, seeking discord and seeking its interpretation. And none except Allah knows its interpretation. And those who are firm in knowledge, they say, "We believe in it. All is from our Lord." And not will take heed except men of understanding.

(In regard to “allegories” or “parables” (which made Christians think that all foods are allowed), Matthew 13:13 and Luke 8:10 confirm that the purpose of the parables is that they may not understand. That’s because Jesus was only sent to the Children of Israel. This is supported by Matthew 15:24, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel”. According to Matthew 13:34, “Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable”. On the other hand, according to Mark 4:34, Jesus explained everything in private to the (Jewish) disciples, and according to John 18:20, Jesus said nothing in secret in synagogues or at the temple (Jewish places); and according to Matthew 13:36, Jesus explain a parable in private to the (Jewish) disciples. So, one interpretation is that the parables were addressed to non-Jews so that they may not understand, because Jesus was sent to the Children of Israel (61:14, 43:59, 3:47-50, 5:72, 61:6). In regard to the Gospel, “in it was Guidance and light” (5:46), not “misguidance”; and Jesus came with clear evidences (61:6), to the Children of Israel, so it was not something unclear or confusing for them)(Allah knows best)

5:48 And We have revealed to you the Book in truth, confirming the Book that came before it and as a guardian over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their vain desires when the truth has come to you. For each of you We have made a law and a clear way. And if Allah had willed, He would have made you one community [and] but to test you in what He has given you; so race to good. To Allah you will all return, then He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ.

(The Qur’an confirms the Bible (The same food is prohibited in the Bible and in the Qur’an), and is a guardian/protector over it. So, the unlawful meat for Christians is confirmed in the Qur’an, and guarded, for example, from such Christian misinterpretation/deviation)(Allah knows best)

2:173 He has only forbidden to you dead animals, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. So whoever is forced, without (being) disobedient, nor transgressor, then there is no sin on him. Indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

6:118 So eat of that on which the name of Allah is mentioned, if you are believers in His Verses. 6:119 And why should you not eat of that on which Allah's name has been mentioned, when indeed, He (has) explained in detail to you what He (has) forbidden to you, except that to which you are compelled. And indeed, many surely lead astray by their desires without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord, He is most knowing of the transgressors.

16:115 He has only forbidden to you dead animal, and the blood, and the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But if one is forced - without being disobedient, nor a transgressor - then indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

5:62 And you see many of them hastening into sin and transgression and eating the forbidden. Surely, evil (is) what they were doing.

12:38 And I follow the religion of my forefathers, Abraham, and Isaac and Jacob. It was not for us to associate anything with Allah. That is from the Grace of Allah upon us, and upon the mankind, but most of the men are not grateful.

(Joseph / Yusuf, who is from the Children of Israel, says, in Verse 12:38, that he follows the religion of Abraham, and Isaac and Jacob. Muhammad was also commanded to follow the religion of Abraham (2:135, 16:123, 3:95, 6:161, 16:123). In addition, Verse 12:38 says that “that is from the Grace of Allah upon us, and upon the mankind”. In that regard, Muhammad was sent to the whole mankind (7:158, 21:107, 6:19, 36:70, 50:45, 7:27, 5:19, 4:174, 25:1, 34:28). So, the Qur’an does not speak about a different food for each, but whether Muslim or non-Muslims, the same food is allowed, and the same food is forbidden, for everyone)(Allah knows best)

16:118 And to those who are Jews We have forbidden that which We related to you before. And We did not wrong them, but they used (to) wrong themselves.

6:138 And they say, "These cattle and crops (are) forbidden, no (one)/(none) can eat them except whom we will," by their claim. And (there are) cattle their/(whose) backs (are) forbidden; and [cattle] they (do) not mention (the) name (of) Allah [on it] (as) an invention against Him. He will recompense them for what they used to invent.

7:57 And He is the One Who sends the winds (as) glad tidings before His Mercy, until, when they have carried heavy clouds, We drive them to a dead land then We send down water therein then We bring forth from it all (kinds) of fruits. Thus We will bring forth the dead so that you may take heed. 7:58 And the pure land – its vegetation comes forth by the permission of its Lord, but that which is bad - does not come forth except with difficulty. Thus We explain the Signs for a people who are grateful.

(The parable in mark 7:15 is explained in the following verses. Mark 7:16-18 confirm that even the disciples did not understand it, because it was a parable. Then, according to Christians, the explanation in Mark 7:19 declare all foods clean. But notice that the context is in Mark 7:21-23 (“evil thoughts come – sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person”), so the context is about thoughts, rather than food. So, “food” was mentioned as a parable or allegory, rather than specifically declaring all foods clean)(According to Verse 3:7, you should not follow allegorical Verses, “as for those in whose hearts is perversity - [so] they follow what is allegorical of it”)(Allah knows best)
