Is religion the cause of most wars? Does religion cause war?

2:190 And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you, and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like the transgressors.

2:192 Then if they cease, then indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 2:193 And fight against them until there is no oppression, and the religion becomes for Allah Then if they cease, then let there be no hostility except against the oppressors.

(Self-defense)(This Verse is in the context of Muslims being oppressed by the disbelievers. The Verse explicitly says “oppression is worse than killing” and “until there is no oppression”; so Muslims fight against oppression, they do not fight to become oppressors, but to overcome those who oppress. Muslims do not compel them in order to become Muslims, but the sentence “fight against them until there is no oppression, and the religion becomes for Allah” implies that Muslims fight until they can practice their religion (e.g. Muslims can freely go to Al-Masjid Al-Haraam (2:191)); if disbelievers do not cease fighting / oppressing (2:191-193), Muslims keep fighting “until there is no oppression” (2:193). And the context is also about self-defense: “if they fight you, then kill them” and “drive them out from wherever they drove you out” (2:191); and the previous Verse (2:190) says “fight in the way of Allah those who fight you, and do not transgress”)(Allah knows best)

2:256 There is no compulsion in the religion. Surely the right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in false deities and believes in Allah has grasped the firm handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

9:95 They will swear by Allah to you when you returned to them, that you may turn away from them. So turn away from them, indeed, they are impure and their abode is Hell, a recompense for what they used to earn.

(Verses 9:95, 51:53, 28:55, etc., are interpreted in a context of peace, so if they do not fighting against Muslims, then Muslim do not fight back)(Allah knows best)

51:53 Have they transmitted it to them? Nay, they are a transgressing people. 51:54 So turn away from them, for you are not to be blamed.

109:6 For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."

17:107 Say, "Believe in it or do not believe. Indeed, those who were given the knowledge before it, when it is recited to them, they fall on their faces in prostration."

42:15 So to that then invite, and stand firm as you are commanded and do not follow their desires, but say, "I believe in what Allah has sent down of the Book, and I am commanded to do justice between you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds and for you your deeds. There is no argument between us and between you. Allah will assemble us, and to Him is the final return."

28:55 And when they hear vain talk, they turn away from it and say, "For us are our deeds and for you are your deeds. Peace be on you; we do not seek the ignorant."

43:89 So turn away from them and say, "Peace." But soon they will know.

39:15 So worship what you will besides Him." Say, "Indeed, the losers are those who (will) lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is the clear loss."

5:32 From that time, We ordained on the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul other than for a soul or for spreading corruption in the earth, then it is as if he has killed the whole mankind, and whoever saves it then it is as if he has saved the whole mankind. And surely Our Messengers came to them with clear Signs, yet after that, indeed, many of them surely commit excesses in the earth.

Many non-Muslims do little or nothing for people’s lives; for example, the pollution in cities kills millions people per year, or the nuclear power stations could kill workers or people living around, but they would not dismantle it for one or few persons; or, in United States, the gun violence results in tens of thousands of deaths annually, or smoking kills slowly to smokers and the people around smokers, etc; and historically, USA killed civilians (women and children) in Hiroshima and Nagasaki; communist regimes are atheists and killed more than 140 million people, and a long etc. Some non-Muslims blame Islam and Muslims as the cause of their problems, while they are themselves the problem)(Allah knows best)

2:191 And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from wherever they drove you out, and oppression is worse than killing. And do not fight them near Al-Masjid Al-Haraam until they fight you there. Then if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the reward of the disbelievers.

42:39 And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves.

9:13 Will you not fight a people who broke their oaths and determined to drive out the Messenger and they began (to attack) you the first time? Do you fear them? But Allah has more right that you should fear Him, if you are believers.

25:63 And the slaves of the Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humbleness, and when the ignorant ones address them, they say, "Peace."

10:99 And if your Lord had willed, those who are on the earth all of them would surely have believed. Then, will you compel mankind until they become believers? 10:100 And it is not for a soul to believe except by the permission of Allah. And He will place the wrath on those who do not use reason.

16:126 And if you retaliate, then retaliate with the like of that with which you were afflicted. But if you are patient, it is surely better for those who are patient.

42:40 The recompense for an evil is an evil like it. But whoever pardons and makes reconciliation, then his reward is on Allah. Indeed, He does not like the wrongdoers.

4:90 Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty or those who come to you with hearts restraining them from fighting you or fighting their people. And if Allah had willed, surely He would have given them power over you, and they would surely have fought you. So if they withdraw from you and do not fight against you and offer you peace, then Allah has not made for you a way against them.

4:91 You will find others wishing to be secure from you and to be secure from their people. Every time they are returned to the temptation, they are plunged into it. So if they do not withdraw from you and offer you peace and they restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them. And those - We made for you against them a clear authority.

2:139 Say, "Do you argue with us about Allah while He is our Lord and your Lord? And for us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. And we are sincere to Him.

50:45 We know best what they say, and you are not the one to compel them. But remind with the Qur’an whoever fears My threat.

10:41 And if they deny you then say, "For me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds. You are disassociated from what I do, and I am disassociated from what you do."

5:13 So for their breaking of their covenant We cursed them and We made their hearts hard. They distort words from their places, and forgot a part of what they were reminded of. And you will not cease to discover treachery from them except a few of them. But forgive them and overlook. Indeed, Allah loves the good-doers.

26:227 Except those who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they were wronged. And those who have wronged will come to know to what return they will return.

4:75 And what is with you that you do not fight in the way of Allah, and (for) those who are weak among men and women and children who say, "Our Lord, take us out of this town whose people are oppressors and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper.

8:30 And when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or drive you out. And they were planning and Allah was planning. And Allah is the Best of Planners.

4:101 And when you travel in the earth, then there is no blame upon you that you shorten the prayer, if you fear that those who disbelieved (may) harm you. Indeed, the disbelievers are for you an open enemy.

19:83 Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them with incitement.

17:53 And say to My slaves to say that which is best. Indeed, Satan sows discord between them. Indeed, Satan is a clear enemy to man.

3:134 Those who spend in ease and hardship and those who restrain the anger and those who pardon people - and Allah loves the good-doers.

49:6 O you who believe, if a wicked person comes to you with information, investigate, lest you harm a people in ignorance, then you become regretful over what you have done.

9:6 And if anyone of the polytheists seek your protection then grant him protection until he hears the Words of Allah. Then escort him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know.

9:8 How while, if they gain dominance over you, they do not regard (the ties of) kinship with you or covenant of protection? They satisfy you with their mouths, but their hearts refuse, and most of them are defiantly disobedient.

(Non-Muslims negotiate to avoid war against countries with great military might, but Muslim countries are considered weak, so non-Muslims just attack, for evil reasons (colonialism, for oil, against freedom of religion, hate, racism, dominance, testing new weapons, false accusations, fake news, propaganda, disinformation, etc.))(Allah knows best)

16:90 Indeed, Allah commands justice and good, and giving to relatives, and forbids immorality and bad and oppression. He admonishes you so that you may take heed.

49:11 O you who believe, (Let) not a people ridicule (another) people, perhaps they may be better than them; and (let) not women (ridicule other) women, perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult yourselves and do not call each other by nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after the faith. And whoever does not repent, then those - they are the wrongdoers.

6:108 And do not insult those whom they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made fair-seeming to every community their deed. Then to their Lord is their return, then He will inform them about what they used to do.

3:159 So because of Mercy from Allah you dealt gently with them. And if you had been rude (and) harsh at heart, surely they would have dispersed from around you. Then pardon them and ask forgiveness for them, and consult them in the matter. Then when you have decided, then put trust in Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who put trust.

49:13 O mankind, indeed, We created you from a male and a female and We made you nations and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you near Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware.

60:8 Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you in the religion and do not drive you out of your homes, that you deal kindly and justly with them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

64:14 O you who believe, indeed, from your spouses and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon and overlook and forgive, then indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

24:22 And let not those of virtue among you and the wealthy swear not to give to the near of kin, and the needy and the emigrants in the way of Allah. And let them pardon and let them overlook. Do you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

33:48 And do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and disregard their harm, and put your trust in Allah. And sufficient is Allah as a Trustee.

25:31 And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and a Helper.

11:35 Or do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, then on me is my crime, but I am innocent of what crimes you commit."

3:175 (It is) only Satan (who) frightens (you) of his allies. So do not fear them, but fear Me, if you are believers.

17:64 And incite whoever you can among them with your voice, and assault them with your cavalry and infantry and be a partner in the wealth and the children, and promise them." And Satan does not promise them except delusion.

12:5 He said, "O my son, do not relate your vision to your brothers lest they plan a plot against you. Indeed, Satan is an open enemy to man.

(Muslims are not people’s enemies in itself or for no reason, but they defend themselves, while some disbelievers behave as enemies, against Muslims, and for evil reasons (stealing, racism, hate, colonialism, etc.))(Allah knows best)

22:40 Those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah ." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some of them by others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.

2:98 Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His Angels and His Messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers.

8:55 Indeed, (the) worst (of) the living creatures near Allah (are) those who disbelieve, and they (will) not believe. 8:56 Those who - you made a covenant with them, then they break their covenant every time, and they do not fear.
