Will all Muslims go to Hell?

Will all Muslims go to Hell?

19:66 And man says, "What, when I am dead, surely will I be brought forth alive?" 19:67 Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing? 19:68 So by your Lord, surely, We will gather them and the devils, then surely, We will bring them around Hell bent on knees. 19:69 Then surely, We will drag out from every sect those of them who were worst in rebellion against the Most Gracious. 19:70 Then surely, We know best those who are most worthy of being burnt therein. 19:71 And there is not of you but (will be) come/passing over it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed. 19:72 Then We will save/deliver those who feared, and We will leave the wrongdoers therein bent on knees.

(Verse 19:66 says “man” (mankind). According to the context, “man” refers to the disbelievers, because what man says in this Verse is similar/same and typically said by disbelievers (see Verses 17:98, 23:35-37 and 23:82-83). “And man says, “What, when I am dead, surely will I be brought forth alive?” (19:66))(In Verse 19:68, “bent on knees” refers to the wrongdoers, this is confirmed by Verse 19:72, “and We will leave the wrongdoers therein bent on knees”)(Verse 19:69 says, “from every sect those of them who were worst in rebellion”, so this Verse does not refer to all of them in every sect, but only the worst in rebellion (In the case of Islam, among Muslims, there are hypocrites (see Verses 63:1-3, 4:137-138, 9:64-66, 7:30). The hypocrites are disbelievers, rather than Muslims or believers)(Verse 19:70 speaks about “those who are most worthy of being burnt therein”, so it excludes those who are not worthy of it)(Verse 19:71 says, “among/of you”, so, this verse does not refer to “every person” going to Hell, but disbelievers “among” them / man. The party that does not go to Hell, is saved from it, while the wrongdoers are left therein (19:72))(Verse 21:98 is similar to 19:71, they use the same verb “will come to it” (laha wariduna)(21:98), and “(will) come to it” (wariduha)(19:71), but Verse 21:97 specifies “those who disbelieve”, so, Verse 19:71 refers to disbelievers as well. The Verses of the Qur’an are not mutually exclusive but complement each other)(Verses 21:101-102 say, “they (will be) kept far from it”, “they will not hear the slightest sound of it”. So, the righteous would be far away from it, rather than coming to it)(And Verse 2:80-81 explicitly denies that the punishment of the fire would be temporary)(Allah knows best)

21:97 And the true promise has approached, then behold, the eyes of those who disbelieve are staring, "O woe to us, verily, we had been in heedlessness of this; nay, we were wrongdoers." 21:98 Indeed, you and what you worship besides Allah are the firewood of Hell. You will come to it. 21:99 If these had been gods, they would not have come to it. And all will abide therein forever. 21:100 For them therein is sighing, and they therein, will not hear. 21:101 Indeed, those for whom the good has preceded/gone forth from Us, they (will be) kept far from it. 21:102 They will not hear the slightest sound of it and they will abide forever in what their souls desire. 21:103 They will not be grieved by the greatest terror, and the Angels will meet them, "This is your Day, which you were promised."

(Verse 21:98 is similar to Verse 19:71, they use the same verb “will come to it” (laha wariduna)(21:98), and “(will) come to it” (wariduha)(19:71), but Verse 21:97 specifies “those who disbelieve”, so, Verse 19:71 also refer to disbelievers)(On the other hand, Verses 21:101-102 say “they (will be) kept far from it”, “they will not hear the slightest sound of it”. So, the righteous would be far away from it, rather than coming to it)(Allah knows best)

39:60 And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied about Allah, their faces (will be) blackened. Is there not in Hell an abode for the arrogant? 39:61 And Allah will deliver those who feared to their place of salvation; no evil will touch them, nor will they grieve.

39:71 And those who disbelieve will be driven to Hell in groups until, when they reach it, its gates will be opened, and its keepers will say to them, "Did there not come to you Messengers from among you reciting to you the Verses of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes", but the word of punishment has been justified against the disbelievers. 39:72 It will be said, "Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the abode of the arrogant." 39:73 And those who feared their Lord (will) be driven to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it, and its gates (will) be opened and its keepers (will) say to them, "Peace be upon you, you have done well, so enter it to abide eternally (therein)."

(Verse 39:73 confirms that “those who feared their Lord” will be driven to Paradise. There is no mention of going to Hell then to Paradise. In fact, those driven to Hell, according to Verse 39:72, they enter Hell to “abide eternally therein”)(Allah knows best)

7:45 Those who hinder from the way of Allah and seek crookedness in it while they are, concerning the Hereafter, disbelievers." 7:46 And between them (will be) a partition, and on the heights (will be) men recognizing all by their marks. And they will call out to the companions of Paradise that "Peace be upon you." They have not entered it, but they hope. 7:47 And when their eyes are turned towards the companions of the Fire, they will say, "Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people." 7:48 And the companions of the heights (will) call men whom they recognize by their marks, saying, "Your gathering and your arrogance has not availed you." 7:49 Are these the ones about whom you had sworn that Allah (will) not grant them Mercy? "Enter Paradise. (There will be) no fear upon you nor will you grieve."

(An interpretation is that that people is transferred from the Heights, rather than from Hell to Paradise)(Allah knows best)

78:21 Indeed, Hell is lying in wait, 78:22 For the transgressors, a place of return,

(Hell is waiting for the transgressors/disbelievers, not for the righteous)(Allah knows best)

2:24 But if you do not do, and you will never do, then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.

9:68 Allah has promised the hypocrite men, and the hypocrite women and the disbelievers, the Fire of Hell, they (will) abide forever in it. It is sufficient for them. And Allah has cursed them, and for them is an enduring punishment.

(They enter to abide forever)(Allah knows best)

2:217 They ask you about fighting in the sacred month. Say, "Fighting therein is a great (sin); but hindering from the way of Allah, and disbelief in Him and (preventing access to) Al-Masjid Al-Haraam, and driving out its people from it is greater (sin) near Allah. And oppression is greater than killing." And they will not cease to fight with you until they turn you away from your religion, if they are able. And whoever among you turns away from his religion, then dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds became worthless in the world and the Hereafter. And those are the companions of the Fire, they (will) abide in it forever.

(They enter to abide forever)(Allah knows best)

78:31 Indeed, for the righteous is success, 78:32 Gardens and grapevines,

55:60 Is (the) reward for [the] good but good?

45:21 Do those who commit evil deeds think that We will make them like those who believed and did righteous deeds - equal in their life and death? Evil is what they judge,

82:13 Indeed, the righteous (will be) surely in bliss, 82:14 And indeed, the wicked (will be) surely in Hellfire.

3:185 Every soul (will) taste death, and you will be paid your reward in full only on the Day of Resurrection. Then whoever is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, then surely he is successful. And the life of the world is not except enjoyment of delusion.

(Verse 3:185 is similar to Verse 3:103, “And you were on the brink of the pit of the Fire, then He saved you from it”. They were on the brink of the pit of the Fire, then they were saved from it, according to their condition in this world, because the Verse previously mentions worldly matters, and the Verse is addressed to them while they are alive, so they were “on the brink of the pit of the Fire” while they were still alive in this world, then they were saved from it while they were still alive in this world as well. So, an interpretation of Verse 3:185 is that it refers to a change in someone’s condition according to his deeds in this world, rather than being temporarily in the Fire. Verse 3:185 also mentions “the life of the world”. Verse 13:11 says, “Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves”. Verses 2:80-81 explicitly confirm that the punishment of the Fire is not temporary, but forever, so it does not refer to Muslims)(Allah knows best)

2:80 And they say, "Never will the Fire touch us except for a numbered days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant from Allah, so Allah will never break His Covenant? Or do you say against Allah that which you do not know?" 2:81 Yes, whoever earned evil and his sins surrounded him - those are the companions of the Fire; they (will) abide in it forever.

(This Verse confirms that the punishment of the fire is not temporary, but forever, so it does not refer to Muslims)(Allah knows best)

3:103 And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together, and do not be divided. And remember the Favor of Allah on you when you were enemies, then He made friendship between your hearts then by His Favor you became brothers. And you were on the brink of the pit of the Fire, then He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes clear for you His Verses so that you may be guided.

(They were on the brink of the pit of the Fire, then they were saved from it, according to their condition in this world, because the Verse previously mentions worldly matters, and the Verse is addressed to them while they are alive, so they were “on the brink of the pit of the Fire” while they were still alive in this world, then they were saved from it while they were still alive in this world as well)(Allah knows best)

13:11 For him are successive before and behind him who protect him by the Command of Allah . Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people misfortune, there is no turning away of it. And there is not for them besides Him any protector.

13:34 For them is a punishment in the life of the world, and surely the punishment of the Hereafter is harder. And they (will) not have against Allah any defender.

(Those disbelievers are punished in the world, and they are also punished in the Hereafter)(On the other hand, the believers might be tested in this world, rather than punished. See the article below, “How do you know if you are being tested or punished?”)(Allah knows best)

39:19 Then, is (one) on him is due the word of punishment? Then can you save (one) who is in the Fire? 39:20 But those who fear their Lord, for them are lofty mansions, above them lofty mansions built high, beneath which rivers flow. The Promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in promise.

22:11 And among mankind is (he) who worships Allah on an edge. And if good befalls him, he is content with it, and if a trial befalls him, he turns on his face. He has lost the world and the Hereafter. That is the clear loss.

42:45 And you will see them being exposed to it, humbled by disgrace, looking with a stealthy glance. And those who believed will say, "Indeed, the losers are those who lost themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, Indeed, the wrongdoers are in a lasting punishment.

23:103 But (the one) whose scales are light, then those have lost their souls, they (will) abide forever in Hell.

14:21 And they will come forth before Allah all together, then the weak will say to those who were arrogant, "Indeed, we were your followers, so can you avail us anything against the punishment of Allah?" They will say, "If Allah had guided us, surely we would have guided you. It is the same for us whether we show intolerance or we are patient, there is no place of escape for us."

25:65 And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is inseparable,

3:192 Our Lord, indeed whom You admit to the Fire, then surely You (have) disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers there are no helpers.

23:11 Who will inherit the Paradise. They (will) abide therein forever.

63:1 When the hypocrites come to you, they say, "We testify that you are surely the Messenger of Allah." And Allah knows that you are surely His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are surely liars. 63:2 They take their oaths (as) a cover, so they turn away from the Way of Allah. Indeed, evil is what they used to do. 63:3 That is because they believed, then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed, so they do not understand.

(Verse 19:69 says, “from every sect those of them who were worst in rebellion”, so this Verse does not refer to all of them, but only the worst in rebellion (there are hypocrites among Muslims (see Verses 63:1-3, 4:137-138, 9:64-66). But, the hypocrites are disbelievers, rather than Muslims or believers (63:1-3)))(Allah knows best)

27:83 And (the) Day (when) We will gather from every nation a troop, of (those) who deny Our Signs, and they will be set in rows.

4:137 Indeed, those who believed, then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, then increased in disbelief – Allah will not forgive them, nor will guide them to a way. 4:138 Give tidings to the hypocrites that for them is a painful punishment -

9:64 The hypocrites fear lest a Surah be revealed about them, informing them of what is in their hearts. Say, "Mock, indeed, Allah (will) bring forth what you fear." 9:65 And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His Verses and His Messenger (that) you were mocking?" 9:66 Make no excuse; verily, you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon a party of you, We will punish a party, because they were criminals.

17:98 That is their recompense because they disbelieved in Our Verses and said, "When we are bones and crumbled particles, will we surely be resurrected as a new creation."

(Verse 19:66 says “man” (mankind). According to the context, “man” refers to the disbelievers, because what man says in this Verse is similar and typically said by disbelievers (See Verses 17:98, 23:35-37 and 23:82-83))(Allah knows best)

23:35 Does he promise you that when you are dead and you become dust and bones that you (will be) brought forth? 23:36 Far-(fetched), far-(fetched) is what you are promised, 23:37 There is no but our life of the world, we die and we live, and we (will) not be resurrected.

23:82 They said, "What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, would we surely be resurrected? 23:83 Verily, we have been promised this, we and our forefathers before; this is not but the tales of the former (people)."

9:113 (It) is not for the Prophet and those who believe that they ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even though they were near of kin, after (what) has become clear to them that they are the companions of the Hellfire.

(According to the Qur’an, you can know who is going to Hell. According to this Verse, there is a distinction between those who believe and the polytheists, so according to the Verse, it could become clear to those who believe that the polytheists are the ones who go to Hell, while the believers hope other than that about themselves)(Allah knows best)

5:84 And what for us (that) not we believe in Allah and what came (to) us from the truth? And we hope that our Lord will admit us with the righteous people." 5:85 So Allah rewarded them for what they said (with) Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein (they) will abide forever. And that (is the) reward (of) the good-doers.

4:104 And do not be weak in pursuit of the people. If you are suffering, then indeed, they are suffering like you are suffering, while you hope from Allah what they do not hope. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

(Those non-Muslims who say that all Muslims will go to Hell, that’s their wishful thinking, because they do not like Muslims, and they want Muslims to lose hope. But, non-Muslims are exposing themselves)(Allah knows best)

8:49 When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts (was) a disease said, "Their religion (had) deluded these (people)." But whoever puts (his) trust in Allah then indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise." 8:50 And if you (could) see when the Angels take away souls of those who disbelieve, striking their faces and their backs "Taste the punishment of the Blazing Fire."

3:128 Not for you is the decision of anything whether He turns to them or punishes them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers. 3:129 And to Allah (belongs) what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(Verse 3:129 says “He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills”, as if forgiveness and punishment were arbitrary, but according to the context (3:128), it only refers to the wrongdoers, and in this world, so those who do good deeds are to be saved. Verse 3:128 says, “whether He turns to them or punishes them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers”)(See the link below, “Is God’s action of punishment or mercy and guidance or misguidance arbitrary?”)(Allah knows best)

92:14 So I warn you (of) a blazing Fire, ... 92:17 But the righteous (one) will be removed from it (wasayujannabuha),

(The root of “yujannabu” (removed) is “Jiim-Nun-Ba”, and it means “to be remote / distant / far off / aloof from someone, shun or avoid someone, alienate or estrange oneself from someone, etc.”)(So, the righteous will avoid/be “remote/distant/far” from Hell (92:14-17))(Allah knows best)
