(One theory is that the companions of the Rass, also known as the people of the well or the people of Ar-Rass, were a community in the Azerbaijan region. But some scholars have stated that Rass was the name of a river or the city itself. Also in the Indus Valley, it is said that Harappa also had many wells; according to the book “Ancient Pakistan – An Archaeological History: Volume IV: Harappan Civilization” by “Mukhtar Ahmed”, “In Mohenjo-daro, people depended on a large number of wells. In Harappa water was obtained from wells as well as from the nearby river”.
