Are there miracles today? Why are there not more miracles in our day as in Biblical times?

Are there miracles today? Why are there not more miracles in our day as in Biblical times?

6:109 And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, "The signs are only with Allah." And what will make you perceive that when it comes, they will not believe.

20:133 And they say, "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has there not come to them evidence of what was in the former Scriptures?

27:13 But when Our visible Signs came to them, they said, "This is a manifest magic." 27:14 And they rejected them, though they themselves were convinced with them, (out of) injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters.

20:56 And verily, We showed him Our Signs, all of them, but he denied and refused.

21:5 Nay, they say, "Muddled dreams; nay, he (has) invented it; nay, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign like what was sent to the former." 21:6 Not a town which We destroyed believed before them, so will they believe?

26:208 And We (did) not destroy any town but it had warners 26:209 (To) remind, and We are not unjust.

(According to the Bible and the Qur’an, towns were destroyed in the past, because of their sins. In the past, there were Messengers warning and with evidences/signs/miracles. Once people see the miracles, and they reject them, then the matter is concluded, so they could be destroyed, if God wills)(On the other hand, today we have the Qur’an as an evidence and warning. Many people are unaware of the warnings and evidences in the Qur’an)(See the links below, “The Qur’an and Mathematics” and “Is the Qur'an scientifically correct?”)(Allah knows best)

6:8 And they said, "Why has not an Angel been sent down to him?" And if We had sent down an Angel, surely the matter would have been decided; then no respite would have been granted to them. 6:9 And if We had made him an Angel, certainly We would have made him a man, and certainly We would have obscured them with that in which they are obscuring (themselves).

30:58 And verily, We (have) set forth for mankind in this Qur’an every example. But if you bring to them a sign, surely those who disbelieve will say, "You are not except falsifiers."

17:93 Or you have a house of ornament or you ascend into the sky. And never we will believe in your ascension until you bring down to us a book that we could read." Say, "Glorified is my Lord, "what am I but a human Messenger." 17:94 And what prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them except that they said, "Has Allah sent a human Messenger?"

7:203 And when you do not bring them a Sign, they say, "Why have you not devised it?" Say, "I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This is enlightenment from your Lord and guidance and mercy for a people who believe."

46:7 And when Our clear Verses (ayatuna) are recited to them, those who disbelieve say about the truth when it comes to them, "This is clear magic."

(Messengers came with signs; Muhammad came with the Qur’an; its Verses are sings and clear proofs)(The root of “ayatu” (Verses) is “Alif-Ya-Waw / Alif-Ya-Ya”, and it means “sign, apparent sign, mark, indication, message, evidence, proof, miracle, communication, Verse of the Qur’an”)(So, the Qur’an was and also is a miracle today. See the links below: “Is the Qur'an scientifically correct?” and “The Qur’an and Mathematics”)(Allah knows best)

10:15 And when Our Verses are recited to them as clear proofs, those who do not hope for the meeting with Us said, "Bring us a Qur’an other than this or change it." Say, "It is not for me to change it on my own accord. I follow not except what is revealed to me. Indeed, If I were to disobey my Lord, I fear the punishment of a Great Day."

4:174 O mankind, surely a convincing proof has come to you from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.

2:23 And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our slave, then produce a chapter like it, and call your witnesses other than Allah , if you are truthful. 2:24 But if you do not do, and you will never do, then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.

17:88 Say, "If the mankind and the jinn gathered to bring the like of this Qur’an, they could not bring the like of it, even if they assist one another."

52:33 Or do they say, "He has made it up" Nay, they do not believe. 52:34 Then let them bring a statement like it, if they are truthful.

13:43 And those who disbelieve say, "You are not a Messenger." Say, "Sufficient is Allah as a Witness between me and you, and whoever has knowledge of the Book."

2:75 Do you hope that they will believe you while indeed a party of them (used to) hear the words of Allah, then they distort it after they understood it, while they know?

30:21 And among His Signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed love and mercy between you. Indeed, in that are surely Signs for a people who reflect. 30:22 And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed, in that are surely Signs for those of knowledge.

(Another point is that there are Signs in the creation. The disbelievers wonder about the stories in the Qur’an and the Bible, because the Messengers are humans, and there were uncommon events, but God is All-Powerful over all “things” (57:2); and God created everything while everything was nothing before (19:9). So, everything is impossible, unless God permits it (34:12) or makes it possible, whether you find a certain event common or uncommon)(For example, a miracle in the Bible and the Qur’an could be as surprising as a human speaking with his mouth because a human was nothing before, and a human is made of lifeless water and dust, and God gave him life, and made him speak)(Allah knows best)

6:37 And they said, "Why (is) not a Sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Indeed, Allah (is) Able to send down a Sign, but most of them (do) not know."

16:11 With it He causes to grow for you the crops, and the olives, and the date-palms, and the grapes and every kind of fruits. Indeed, in that is surely a sign for a people who reflect.

19:9 He said, "Thus, your Lord said, 'It is easy for Me, and certainly I have created you before, while you were nothing.'"

23:80 And He is the One Who gives life and causes death and for Him is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason?

27:60 Or Who has created the heavens and the earth and sent down water for you from the sky? And We caused to grow thereby gardens of beauty, it is not for you to cause the growth of their trees. Is there any god with Allah? Nay, they are a people who ascribe equals.

56:63 And do you see what you sow? 56:64 Is it you who cause it to grow or are We the grower?

45:4 And in your creation and what He disperses of the moving creatures are Signs for a people who are certain.

5:64 And the Jews said, "The Hand of Allah is chained." Their hands are chained, and they have been cursed for what they said. Nay, His Hands are stretched out, He spends how He wills. And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in rebellion and disbelief. And We have cast among them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrection. Every time they kindled the fire of war, Allah extinguished it. And they strive in the earth spreading corruption. And Allah does not love the corrupters.

(Note: in the Arabic language it is possible to attribute a view to a group of people without that necessarily meaning that it was the view of all of them)(Allah knows best)

3:40 He said, "My Lord, how can I have a son, and verily I have reached old age and my wife is barren?" He said, "Thus; Allah does what He wills."

13:38 And certainly, We sent Messengers before you and We made for them wives and offspring. And it was not for a Messenger to come with a sign except by the leave of Allah. For everything is a time prescribed.

8:33 But not is (for) Allah that He punishes them while you (are) among them, and not is Allah the One Who punishes them while they seek forgiveness.

57:17 Know that Allah gives life (to) the earth after its death. Indeed, We have made clear to you the Signs so that you may understand.

73:15 Indeed, We [We] have sent to you a Messenger (as) a witness upon you, as We sent a Messenger to Firaun/(Pharaoh).

7:94 And We (did) not send in a city any Prophet except (that) We seized its people with adversity and hardship, so that they may (become) humble.
