Was Islam designed to satisfy Muhammad's desires?

Was Islam designed to satisfy Muhammad's desires?

33:53 O you who believe, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when permission is given to you for a meal, without awaiting its preparation. But when you are invited, then enter; and when you have eaten, then disperse without seeking to remain for a conversation. Indeed, that was troubling the Prophet, and he is shy of you. But Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask them for something, then ask them from behind a screen. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts. And it is not for you that you trouble the Messenger of Allah nor that you should ever marry his wives after him. Indeed, that is an enormity near Allah.

(According to the Verse, that matter was troubling the Prophet, so God’s prohibition benefits him, but the Prophet did not decide or invent this prohibition, because the Qur’an could have not been invented by a human being (See links below: “The Qur’an and Mathematics” and “Is the Qur'an scientifically correct?”). The Verse also says, “it is an enormity near Allah”. so if it were not an enormity near Allah, the Prophet might have not been benefited in that matter. According to Verse 2:216, there are other matters which people might dislike, but are prescribed for them)(Other Messengers are also favored over other people (27:15, 14:11). In general, the righteous and believers are to be rewarded, while the evil and disbelieving people are to be punished)(Actually, “Islam” means “Submission (to God)”. So, the point of religion is that you have to worship/obey God, instead of following your own desires or that which people invent. If the Prophet had invented the religion and the scripture according to his own desires, (having no clue of the Scripture), he would have never recited the Qur’an, nor the Qur’an’s restrictions, obligations, etc.)(Allah knows best)

2:216 Fighting is prescribed upon you while it is disliked by you. But perhaps you dislike a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you do not know.

27:15 And verily, We gave David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, "Praise be to Allah the One Who has favored us over many of His believing servants."

6:53 And thus We try some of them with others that they say, "Are these (whom) Allah has favored among us?" Is not Allah most knowing of those who are grateful?

14:11 Their Messengers said to them, "We are not but human like you, but Allah bestows His Grace on whom He wills of His slaves. And it is not for us that we bring you an authority except by the permission of Allah. And upon Allah let the believers put their trust.

8:1 They ask you about the spoils of war. Say, "The spoils of war (are) for Allah and the Messenger. So fear Allah and set right that (which is) between you and obey Allah and His Messenger, if you are believers."

(God is the One Who commands. The Messenger only follows that which is revealed to him (46:9). The Messenger and the believers give charity (57:18, 2:43). It is forbidden to hoard money (9:34). So, the disbelievers wrongly accuse the Messenger of following his own desires)(Allah knows best)

104:2 The one who collects wealth and counts it. 104:3 Thinking that his wealth will make him immortal.

58:12 O you who believe, when you privately consult the Messenger, then offer (in) charity (sadaqatan) before your private consultation. That (is) better and purer for you. But if you do not find, then indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(A charity has a function; he who gives from his wealth, purify himself (92:18). God revealed this Verse, in order to purify them. Another point is that God gives provision (13:22, 2:212), so the Prophet did not ask for a payment, but God revealed it that he may take a charity)(Consider that Verse 9:60 says that “the charities are only for the poor, and the needy, and those who collect them”. It is interpreted that the Messenger was among those who collect, because Verse 93:8 confirms that the Messenger was made self-sufficient, so, not in need anymore. So, the Messenger is of those who “does/give the charities”, because the root of “amilina” (those who collect) is “Ayn-Miim-Lam”, and it means “to do / make / act / work / operate / perform / construct / manufacture, paractice a handcraft, be active, one who does”)(Allah knows best)

66:1 O Prophet, why do you prohibit what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 66:2 Indeed, Allah has ordained for you the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your Protector, and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.

(Some non-Muslims use Verse 66:1 against the Messenger, but according to the context, the heart of two of his wives were inclined (66:4). So, they are no longer or no fully “submissive, faithful, obedient, repentant, who worship, who fast” (66:5), because the Verse says that there could be wives better than them in that matter (66:5). So, they are required to return to Allah (66:4). Verse 66:6 mentions disobedience to God and its consequence is Hellfire. Verse 60:10 says “do not hold to marriage bonds with disbelieving women”. So, one interpretation is that “dissolution of your oaths” (66:2) could refer to “divorce” (66:5))(Verses 2:225-227 and 2:235 confirm that “oaths/promises” (e.g. like in Verse 66:2) could be applied to “marriage/divorce”)(So, it was not the Prophet’s fault or his desires, but his wives’ fault. If it were the Prophet’s desires, maybe he would stay married, but, because it is not his desires, he has to divorce, because God’s law prohibits to hold marriage bonds with disbelieving women (60:10), unless they turn to God (66:4))(Allah knows best)

33:28 O Prophet, say to your wives, "If you desire the life of the world and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you and release you with a good release. … 33:32 O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear, then do not be soft in speech, lest he, in whose heart is a disease, should be moved with desire, but say an appropriate word. 33:33 And stay in your houses and do not display yourselves (as was the) display of the former (times of) ignorance. And establish the prayer and give zakah (charity) and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah only wishes to remove from you the impurity, People of the House, and to purify you with purification.

(According to the context, the wives are not forced to follow it (33:28), but Islam (aka “Submission (to God)”) is for their own benefit; God is free of need (3:97). See the links below “Is there freedom of religion in Islam?” and “Does God need you?”)(Allah knows best)

3:95 Say, Allah has told the truth, then follow the religion of Abraham, upright; and he was not of the polytheists. 3:96 Indeed, the first House set up for mankind was that at Bakkah, blessed and a guidance for the worlds. 3:97 In it are clear signs, the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it - is safe. And to Allah upon the people is a pilgrimage to the House – for whoever is able to it a way. And whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.

2:144 Indeed, We see the turning of your face towards the heaven. So surely We will turn you to the direction of prayer that pleases you. So turn your face towards the direction of Al-Masjid Al-Haraam. And wherever you are, turn your faces towards its direction. And indeed, those who were given the Book, surely know that it is the truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.

(Muhammad did not decide the place, nor was a new sacred place, but it was the first House established for mankind, the standing place of Abraham (3:95-97))(Even “Baka” is mentioned in the Bible, in Psalms 84:5-6, “Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.”)(Note: “Bakkah” is also mentioned in the Qur’an (3:96). It is said that Bakkah refers to the Kaaba and its surroundings, while Mecca is the name of the city in which they are both located)(See also the link below “Why was the direction of prayer (Qibla) changed?”)(Allah knows best)

33:50 O Prophet, Indeed, We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have given their bridal money and those whom you rightfully possess from what Allah has given to you and the daughters of your paternal uncles and the daughters of your paternal aunts and the daughters of your maternal uncles and the daughters of your maternal aunts who emigrated with you and a believing woman if she gives herself to the Prophet, and the Prophet wishes to marry her - only for you, excluding the believers. We certainly, know what We have made obligatory upon them concerning their wives and those whom they rightfully possess, that there should be no discomfort upon you. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(The Messengers were favored over other people)(The Messenger did not follow his own desires; actually there are women forbidden to him (4:23))(The disbelievers are hypocrites, because they also do not believe in polygamy while there are places in which there are more women than men, so in polygamy, every woman can have a husband, while man is not favored in that matter, because he could have no wife if there were more men than women. And fornication and adultery are forbidden. They are hypocrites because many non-Muslims commit adultery and/or fornication with many persons, so those men are not having obligations towards women, and those women are not having rights, while women who are married have rights, so women are protected in Islam)(See the link below “Is polygamy okay?”)(Allah knows best)

4:23 Forbidden to you are your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters, and your father's sisters, and your mother's sisters, and daughters of brothers, and daughters of sisters, and the mothers who nursed you, and your sisters from the nursing, and mothers of your wives, and your step daughters who are under your guardianship of your women you had relations with, but if you had not relations with them, then there is no sin on you. And wives of your sons who are from your loins, and that you gather together two sisters, except what has passed before. Indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.

(Many non-Muslims accuse the Prophet of marrying a 6 year old, while, in fact, Islam does not support pedophilia or child marriages. See the link below: “Does Islam support pedophilia or child marriages? Did Prophet Muhammad marry a 6 year old?”)(Allah knows best)

49:2 O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and do not be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you do not perceive.

(Good conduct benefits people)(Allah knows best)

12:111 Verily, in their stories is a lesson for men of understanding. It is not an invented narration, but a confirmation of that which was before it and a detailed explanation of all things, and a guidance and mercy for a people who believe.

(E.g, Verse 33:53 is addressed to the Prophet, but it is a lesson that you can learn from)(In the Messenger, people have an example (33:21))(Allah knows best)

33:21 Certainly, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much.

20:2 We (have) not sent down to you the Qur’an that you be distressed

17:79 And from the night, arise from sleep for prayer with it (as) additional for you; it may be that your Lord will raise you (to) a praiseworthy station.

(The Prophet had additional prayers, so he had additional obligations. “You” is masculine singular)(Allah knows best)

73:20 Indeed, your Lord knows that you stand (a little) less than two-thirds of the night, and half of it, and a third of it, and (so do) a group of those who are with you. And Allah determines the night and the day. He knows that you do not count it, so He has turned to you, so recite what is easy of the Qur’an. He knows that among you will be sick and others traveling in the land seeking the Bounty of Allah, and others fighting in the way of Allah. So recite what is easy from it, and establish the prayer and give zakah and loan to Allah a goodly loan. And whatever good you send forth for yourselves, you will find it with Allah. It (will be) better and greater in reward. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(The Prophet stood 2/3, and 1/2, and 1/3 of the nights reciting)(Allah knows best)

11:35 Or do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, then on me is my crime, but I am innocent of what crimes you commit."

53:2 Your companion has not strayed, nor has he erred, 53:3 And he does not speak from the desire.

46:9 Say, "I am not a new (one) among the Messengers and nor do I know what will be done with me and with you. I follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."

93:3 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased, 93:4 And surely the Hereafter is better for you than the first. 93:5 And soon your Lord will give you, then you will be satisfied. 93:6 Did He not find you an orphan and give shelter? 93:7 And He found you lost, so He guided, 93:8 And He found you in need, so He made self-sufficient.

(Some non-Muslims accuse the Prophet of inventing in favor of orphans just because he was also an orphan, while, in fact, “everybody”, whether orphan or no orphan, have its rights, restrictions, obligations, etc. So, that objection does not make sense. See the link below: “Did Muhammad want to protect orphans in the Qur’an just because he was also an orphan, as some non-Muslims say?”)(Allah knows best)

10:37 And it was not that this Qur’an could be produced by other than Allah, but (it is) a confirmation of that which was before it and a detailed explanation of the Book, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.

36:69 And We have not taught him poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a Reminder and a clear Qur’an,

29:47 And thus We have revealed to you the Book. So those to whom We gave the Book believe in it. And among these are some who believe in it. And none reject Our Verses except the disbelievers.

11:13 Or they say, "He has fabricated it." Say, "Then bring ten Surahs like it that have been fabricated, and call whoever you can besides Allah if you are truthful." 11:14 Then if they do not respond to you, then know that it was sent down with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god except Him. Then, would you be Muslims?

69:40 Indeed, it is surely the Word of a noble Messenger. 69:41 And it is not a word of a poet; little is what you believe 69:42 Nor it is the word of a soothsayer; little is what you take heed. 69:43 (It is) a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 69:44 And if he had fabricated against Us some sayings, 69:45 We would certainly have seized him by the right hand; 69:46 Then We would certainly have cut off his aorta.

6:19 Say, "What thing is greatest as a testimony?" Say, "Allah is Witness between me and you. And this Qur’an has been revealed to me so that I may warn you with it and whoever it reaches. Do you truly testify that there are other gods with Allah?" Say, "I do not testify." Say, "He is but One God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate. 6:20 Those to whom We have given the Book recognize it as they recognize their sons. Those who lost themselves do not believe.

28:49 Say, "Then bring a Book from Allah, which (is) a better guide than both of them, that I may follow it, if you are truthful." 28:50 But if they do not respond to you, then know that they only follow their desires. And who is more astray than (one) who follows his own desire without guidance from Allah? Indeed, Allah does not guide the people - the wrongdoers.

(The disbelievers are the ones who follow their own desires)(Allah knows best)

10:16 Say, "If Allah (had) willed, I (would) not have recited it to you, and He (would) have not made it known to you. Verily, I have stayed among you a lifetime before it. Then will you not use reason?"

(The Messenger did not recite or know about the Qur’an before, but God willed it)(Allah knows best)

33:38 (There can) be no discomfort upon the Prophet in that which Allah has imposed on him. (That is the) Way (of) Allah concerning those who passed away before. And the Command (of) Allah is a decree destined.

(The Prophet had also obligations)(Allah knows best)

33:4 Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his interior. And He has not made your wives whom you declare unlawful as your mothers. And He has not made your adopted sons your sons. That is your saying by your mouths, but Allah says the truth, and He guides to the Way. ... 33:37 And when you said to the one on whom Allah bestowed favor and you bestowed favor on him, "Keep your wife to yourself and fear Allah." But you concealed within yourself that which Allah was to disclose. And you fear the people, while Allah has more right that you (should) fear Him. So when Zayd ended the necessary (formalities) from her, We married her to you so that there (may) be no discomfort on the believers concerning the wives of their adopted sons when they have ended the necessary (formalities) from them. And the Command of Allah is accomplished. 33:38 (There can) be no discomfort upon the Prophet in that which Allah has imposed on him. (That is the) Way (of) Allah concerning those who passed away before. And the Command (of) Allah is a decree destined.

(Some non-Muslims use Verse 33:37 to defame the Messenger, but it is a fact that the adopted sons are not real sons, and women can divorce, so that women are not forced to marry or stay married)(In Christianity, women cannot divorce (Matthew 5:32), so they can be oppressed by the husband; and in Judaism and Christianity a raped girl is forced to marry her rapist (Deuteronomy 22:28-29); and women is forced to have relations with her husband’s brother (Genesis 38:8))(See also the links below “Do non-Muslims oppress women?” and “Marrying the wives of adopted sons?”)(Allah knows best)

42:13 He has ordained for you of the religion what He enjoined upon Noah, and that which We have revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not to be divided therein. Difficult for the polytheists is that to which you call them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides to Himself whoever turns.

(Another point is that Muhammad is only mentioned 5 times in the Qur’an, while, for example, Moses is mentioned 136 times, and Jesus is mentioned 25 times)(Allah knows best)

49:17 They consider (it) a favor to you that they have accepted Islam. Say, "Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Nay, Allah has conferred a favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you are truthful.
