What to do with disbeliever family?

What to do with disbeliever family?

31:15 But if they strive against you that you associate partners with Me of what you have no any knowledge, then do not obey both of them. But accompany them (wasahib’huma) with kindness in the world, and follow the path (of him) who turns to Me. Then towards Me is your return, then I will inform you of what you used to do"

(The root word of “sahib” (accompany) is “Sad-Ha-Ba”, and it means “to company, associate, be the friend of or companion to”)(Allah knows best)

9:23 O you who believe, do not take your fathers and your brothers as allies (awliyaa) if they prefer disbelief over belief. And whoever of you takes them as allies, then those are the wrongdoers.

(There is no contradiction between Verses 31:15 and 9:23, because they use different words: “accompany” (sahib) and “guardian” (awliyaa)). The root word of “awliyaa” (allies) is “Waw-Lam-Ya”, and it means “to be close, near, follow, be up to, direction of following. Walli – direct. Walii – Protecting benefactor; Helper; Ally; Successor; Heir; Guardian”)(It is okay accompanying them with kindness in the world (31:15), but it is forbidden obeying them when they strive against you, that you associate partners with God (31:15), and it is forbidden to take them as allies / guardians / protectors (9:23). Chapter 9 is in the context of war / fighting (9:5-6, 9:8, 9:10, 9:12-14, 9:19-20, 9:29), so it is forbidden to take them as allies)(So, the word “companion / accompany” refers to someone that is with you (e.g. your wife), while the word “guardian / ally / protector” could be used in the context of fighting (48:22))(Allah knows best)

64:14 O you who believe, indeed, from your spouses and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon and overlook and forgive, then indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 64:15 Your wealth and your children are only a trial, and with Allah is a great reward.

48:22 And if those who disbelieve fight you, surely they would turn the backs. Then they would not find any protector (waliyyan) or any helper.

58:22 You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those - He has decreed faith in their hearts and supported them with a spirit from Him. And He will admit them to Gardens underneath which rivers flow, they will abide in it forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. They are the party of Allah. No doubt, indeed, the party of Allah, they are the successful ones.

9:84 And [you] not/(never) pray for any of them who dies, ever, and [you] not stand by his grave. Indeed, they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger, and died while they were defiantly disobedient.

(The context of Chapter 9 is fighting (in self-defense). Verse 9:84 refers to “any of them”, who are previously mentioned in Verses 9:81-83, so it might refer to those who stood behind the Messenger)(Allah knows best)
