How many Thamud killed the she-camel?

How many Thamud killed the she-camel?

54:23 Thamud denied the warnings, ... 54:29 But they called their companion, and he took and hamstrung.

7:73 And to Thamud (We sent) their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah, you have no god other than Him. Verily, there has come to you a clear proof from your Lord. This she-camel of Allah is a Sign for you. So leave her to eat on the earth of Allah, and do not touch her with harm, lest a painful punishment seizes you." ... 7:77 Then they hamstrung the she-camel and were insolent towards the command of their Lord and they said, "O Salih, bring us what you promise us, if you are of the Messengers." 7:78 So the earthquake seized them, then they became in their homes fallen prone.

(Thamud is the name of a people. The people of Thamud was commanded to leave the she-camel eat and not to harm her, but they called their companion to hamstring her (54:29). So, all of them were collectively responsible for hamstringing her, because they decided to hamstring her, by ordering their companion to do it. If they had not ordered it, the she-camel would have not been harmed. They even felt responsible for it, they said “O Salih, bring us what you promise us”. So, non-Muslims’ alleged contradiction that the ones who order it are not equally responsible (as responsible as the executioner) does not make sense. The sentence “they hamstrung the she-camel” does not contradict the sentence “they called their companion, and he took and hamstrung” anyhow. So, the fact that there was only one executioner does not absolve the people of Thamud from responsibility/their decision)(For example, it is like absolving Hitler because he never killed anyone)(Allah knows best)
