Solar year and lunar year in the Qur’an?

Solar year and lunar year in the Qur’an?

18:25 And they remained in their cave (for) three hundred years and add nine. 18:26 Say, "Allah knows best how long they remained. For Him is the unseen of the heavens and the earth. How clearly He sees and how clearly He hears. They do not have besides Him any protector, and He does not share His Commands with anyone."

(Verse 18:25 says, “three hundred years and add nine”. The 300 solar years comprise 109572.6 days (300 x 365.242 = 109572.6), while the 300 lunar years comprise 106310.1168 days (300 x 354.367056 = 106310.1168); this means the difference is 3262.4832 days (109572.6 – 106310.1168 = 3262.4832). This difference of days is close to 9 solar years (3262.4832 / 365.242 = 8.932387841), and close to 9 lunar years (3262.4832 / 354.367056 = 9.206508181). The number 300 stays the same, and the addition also comes as a result of the difference between the concepts of solar and lunar year. “9” is a round number between 8.932387841 and 9.206508181, so “9” is referring to or connecting both the solar and the lunar years. And the ratio in the Qur’an is the same as the scientific one: 309 / 300 = 1.03; and 365.242 / 354.367056 = 1.03)(One interpretation is that 300 solar years correspond to 309 lunar years. Verse 18:26 says “Allah knows best how long they remained”; so as if it was intended to say a number close to “9”, instead of an exact number; so, both 8.932387841 and 9.206508181 are close to 9)(But it can also be interpreted that “9” only refers to solar years, because 8.9 (solar years) is closer to 9, than 9.2 (lunar years); if so, then the people of the cave stayed 300 solar years, i.e. 300 lunar years + 9 solar years added to them)(Either interpretation is scientifically correct)(Note: a year of 365 days is extended to 366 once every four years, so have a mean year of 365.242 days)(Allah knows best)

18:9 Or you think that (the) companions (of) the cave and the inscription were a wonder among Our Signs?

(The word “cave” (kaf ha fa) occurs six times in the Qur’an, all six times in Chapter 18 “Al-Kahf” (The Cave). The first time occurs in Verse 18:9 (fifth word), and the last time occurs in Verse 18:25 (third word). If we count the number of words, starting from Verse 18:9 (“9” is referring to the 9 years added, and is also the first Verse mentioning “cave”) to the word “thalatha (three)” in Verse 18:25 (referring to three hundred years, and is also the last Verse mentioning “cave”), the result is 309 words (aka 9 years are added to 300): 10 (Verse 18:9) + 16 (Verse 18:10) + 7 (Verse 18:11) + 9 (Verse 18:12) + 11 (Verse 18:13) + 19 (Verse 18:14) + 18 (Verse 18:15) + 19 (Verse 18:16) + 34 (Verse 18:17) + 22 (Verse 18:18) + 38 (Verse 18:19) + 13 (Verse 18:20) + 32 (Verse 18:21) + 33 (Verse 18:22) + 7 (Verse 18:23) + 17 (Verse 18:24) + 4 (out of 8 words in Verse 18:25) = 309)(Allah knows best)

18:10 When the youths retreated to the cave, and they said, "Our Lord, grant on us Mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way."

(Likewise, if we count the number of words, starting from the word “l-kahfi (the cave)” in Verse 18:9 to the word “tis’an (nine)” in Verse 18:25 (“9” is referring to 9 years added), the result is also 309 words: 6 (out of 10 words in Verse 18:9) + 16 (Verse 18:10) + 7 (Verse 18:11) + 9 (Verse 18:12) + 11 (Verse 18:13) + 19 (Verse 18:14) + 18 (Verse 18:15) + 19 (Verse 18:16) + 34 (Verse 18:17) + 22 (Verse 18:18) + 38 (Verse 18:19) + 13 (Verse 18:20) + 32 (Verse 18:21) + 33 (Verse 18:22) + 7 (Verse 18:23) + 17 (Verse 18:24) + 8 (Verse 18:25) = 309)(Allah knows best)

17:12 And We have made the night and the day (as) two signs. Then We erased (the) sign (of) the night, and We made (the) sign (of) the day visible, that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and that you may know (the) number (of) [the] years, and the account. And We have explained [it] everything (in) detail.
