Is “ex-Muslim” an acceptable term? How are they called in the Qur’an? Who are the so-called “ex-Muslims” according to the Qur’an?

63:1 When the hypocrites come to you, they say, "We testify that you are surely the Messenger of Allah." And Allah knows that you are surely His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are surely liars. 63:2 They take their oaths (as) a cover, so they turn away from the Way of Allah. Indeed, evil is what they used to do. 63:3 That is because they believed, then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed, so they do not understand.

(Those who call themselves “ex-Muslims”, they want people to think that they were devoted Muslims, and that they know that Islam is wrong because they had a first-hand experience, and so. They are called “liars” (29:3, 63:1), “hypocrites” (63:1, 3:167, etc.) and “disbelievers” (63:3, 4:137, etc.). They seek to deceive God and those who believe, but they deceive themselves (2:8-9). God made evident their disbelief (29:11). They disbelieved, so their hearts were sealed (63:3), and God doesn’t guide them (4:137); God does not guide the wrongdoing people (3:86). They are not Muslims for evil reason in themselves (For example, they want to fornicate, while in Islam it is forbidden, etc.))(Allah knows best)

49:17 They consider (it) a favor to you that they have accepted Islam. Say, "Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Nay, Allah has conferred a favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you are truthful.

(Someone “leaving” Islam does not prove that Islam is wrong; and it does not affect or change the religion of Islam Itself, but they changed / wronged themselves. “Allah did not wrong them but they were wronging themselves” (16:33). And God is free of need: "If you disbelieve, you and all who are on the earth, then indeed, Allah is certainly Free of need, Praiseworthy." (14:8))(Allah knows best)

3:72 And a group of (the) People (of) the Book said, "Believe in that which was revealed on those who believe (at the) beginning (of) the day, and reject (at) its end, perhaps they may return. 3:73 And do not believe except those who follow your religion." Say, "Indeed the guidance is the Guidance of Allah – lest someone be given the like of that which was given to you or that they may argue with you near your Lord." Say, "Indeed, the Bounty is in the Hand of Allah. He gives it to whom He wills, and Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing."

(Verse 3:72 exposes their strategy: they tell about believing in Islam, in order to “leave” it later, so that perhaps other people would do likewise)(Allah knows best)

13:25 And those who break the Covenant of Allah after contracting it, and sever what Allah has commanded, for it, to be joined and spread corruption in the earth. Those - for them (is) the curse, and for them (is) an evil home.

4:142 Indeed, the hypocrites (seek to) deceive Allah and (it is) He Who deceives them. And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing off to the people and they do not remember Allah except a little. 4:143 Wavering between that, neither to these (and) nor to those. And whoever Allah lets go astray - then never will you find a way for him.

24:47 And they say, "We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we obey"; then a party of them turns away after that. And those are not believers.

29:11 And Allah will surely make evident those who believe, and He will surely make evident the hypocrites.

(The so-called ex-Muslims are not exposing Islam, but they are exposing themselves)(Allah knows best)

2:8 And of the people there are some who say, "We believed in Allah and in the Last Day," but they are not believers. 2:9 They seek to deceive Allah and those who believe, and they do not deceive except themselves, and they do not realize (it).

9:124 And whenever a Surah is revealed, among them are some who say, "Which of you has increased in faith by it?" As for those who believe, then it has increased them in faith and they rejoice. 9:125 But as for those in whose hearts is a disease, it increases them in evil to their evil. And they die while they are disbelievers. 9:126 Do they not see that they are tried every year once or twice? Yet they (do) not turn (in repentance), (and) nor (do) they pay heed. 9:127 And whenever a Surah is revealed, some of them look at others, "Does anyone see you?" Then they turn away. Allah has turned away their hearts because they (are) a people (who) do not understand.

4:137 Indeed, those who believed, then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, then increased in disbelief – Allah will not forgive them, nor will guide them to a way. 4:138 Give tidings to the hypocrites that for them is a painful punishment -

9:64 The hypocrites fear lest a Surah be revealed about them, informing them of what is in their hearts. Say, "Mock, indeed, Allah (will) bring forth what you fear." 9:65 And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His Verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" 9:66 Make no excuse; verily, you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon a party of you, We will punish a party, because they were criminals.

3:86 How (shall) Allah guide a people (who) disbelieved after their belief and (had) witnessed that the Messenger is true, and clear proofs came to them? And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. 3:87 Those - their recompense is that on them is the curse of Allah and the Angels and the people, all together.

3:167 And that He might make evident those who are hypocrites. And it was said to them, "Come, fight in the way of Allah or defend." They said, "If we knew fighting, certainly we would have followed you." That day they were nearer to disbelief than to faith, saying with their mouths what was not in their hearts. And Allah is Most Knowing of what they conceal.

29:3 And indeed, We tested those before them. And Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.

29:10 And of the people are those who say, "We believe in Allah." But when he is harmed in Allah , he considers the trial of the people as the punishment of Allah. But if victory comes from your Lord, they surely say, "Indeed, we were with you." Is not Allah most knowing of what is in the breasts of the worlds?

5:61 And when they come to you, they say, "We believe." But certainly they entered with disbelief and they certainly went out with it. And Allah knows best [of] what they were hiding.

4:140 And surely He has revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the Verses of Allah being rejected and ridiculed, then do not sit with them until they engage in a conversation other than that. Indeed, you then, (would be) like them. Indeed, Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together.

6:112 And thus We made for every Prophet an enemy - devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring one another with decorative speech in deception. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and what they invent.

19:83 Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them with incitement.

52:42 Or do they intend a plot? But those who disbelieve are themselves the plot.

32:13 And if We had willed, surely We would have given every soul its guidance, but the Word from Me will come true, "I will fill Hell with jinn and men all together.

63:8 They say, "If we return to Al-Madinah, surely, the more honorable will expel the more humble therefrom." But for Allah is the honor and for His Messenger and for the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.

3:177 Indeed, those who purchased disbelief with the faith - never will they harm Allah in anything, and for them is a painful punishment. 3:178 And let not think those who disbelieved that We give respite to them is good for themselves. We only give respite to them so that they may increase in sins, and for them is a humiliating punishment.

81:28 For whoever wills among you to take a straight way. 81:29 And you do not will except that Allah wills, Lord of the worlds.

16:104 Indeed, those who do not believe in the Verses of Allah, Allah will not guide them, and for them is a painful punishment. 16:105 They only invent falsehood who do not believe in the Verses of Allah, and they are the liars. 16:106 Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief, except (one) who is forced while his heart is content with faith. But those who open (their) breast to disbelief, then upon them is wrath of Allah, and for them is a punishment great.

27:14 And they rejected them, though they themselves were convinced with them, (out of) injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters.

4:155 Then because of their breaking of their covenant and their disbelief in the Signs of Allah and their killing of the Prophets without any right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped." Nay, Allah (has) set a seal on their (hearts) for their disbelief, so they do not believe except a few.

6:25 And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they see every sign, they will not believe in it. Until, when they come to you and argue with you those who disbelieved say, "This is not but the tales of the former (people)." 6:26 And they forbid (others) from it and they keep away from it. And they do not destroy except themselves, and they do not perceive.

49:7 And know that among you (is the) Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would surely be in difficulty, but Allah has endeared the Faith to you and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made disbelief, and defiance, and disobedience hateful to you. Those (are) they - the guided ones.

6:111 And (even) if We (had) sent down to them the Angels and the dead (had) spoken to them and We (had) gathered everything before them, face to face, they were not to believe unless Allah wills. But most of them (are) ignorant.

4:44 Did you not see, [towards] those who were given a portion of the Book, purchasing error and wishing that you stray (from) the way? 4:45 And Allah knows better about your enemies and sufficient (is) Allah (as) a Protector, and sufficient (is) Allah (as) a Helper.

9:45 Only those ask your leave / permission who (do) not believe in Allah and the Last Day, and their hearts (are in) doubts, so they waver in their doubts.

18:56 And We did not send the Messengers except as bearers of glad tidings and as warners. And those who disbelieve dispute with falsehood, to refute the truth thereby. And they take My Verses and that of which they are warned in ridicule.

3:119 Lo, you are those who love them, but they do not love you and you believe in the Book - all of it. And when they meet you, they say, "We believe." And when they are alone they bite the fingers tips at you in rage. Say, Die in your rage. Indeed. Allah is All-Knowing of what is in the breasts." 3:120 If a good touches you, it grieves them; and if misfortune strikes you, they rejoice at it. And if you are patient and fear, their plot will not harm you in anything. Indeed, Allah, of what they do is All-Encompassing.

47:8 But those who disbelieve, for them (is) destruction, and He will cause their deeds to be lost. 47:9 That (is) because they hate what Allah has revealed, so He has made their deeds worthless.

58:16 They have taken their oaths (as) a cover, so they hinder from (the) way of Allah, so for them/(they will have) a humiliating punishment.
