Can “Abrahamic” religions reconcile? How to reconcile “Abrahamic” religions?

Can “Abrahamic” religions reconcile? How to reconcile “Abrahamic” religions?

3:2 Allah - there is no God except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all that exists. 3:3 He revealed to you the Book in truth which confirms that which was before it and He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.

10:37 And it was not that this Qur’an could be produced by other than Allah, but (it is) a confirmation of that which was before it and a detailed explanation of the Book, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.

12:111 Verily, in their stories is a lesson for men of understanding. It is not an invented narration, but a confirmation of that which was before it and a detailed explanation of all things, and a guidance and mercy for a people who believe.

20:133 And they say, "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has there not come to them evidence of what was in the former Scriptures?

2:136 Say, "We have believed in Allah and what is revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the descendants, and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Him we are submissive."

3:64 Say, "O People of the Book, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we worship none except Allah, nor we associate any partners with Him and that we will not take others as lords besides Allah." Then if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims."

("Muslim" is an Arabic word meaning "one who submits (to God)"; that’s the religion preached by Jesus and all Messengers, because, for example, according to Luke 22:42, Jesus said, “yet not my will, but yours be done”)(Allah knows best)

2:139 Say, "Do you argue with us about Allah while He is our Lord and your Lord? And for us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. And we are sincere to Him.

(The words “Allah” and “ilah” in the Qur’an use the same Semitic root than “eloah”, “elah”, “el” and “elohim” in the Bible)(Allah knows best)

2:163 And your God is one God; there is no god except Him, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

21:25 And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."

41:43 Nothing is said to you except what was said to the Messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is Possessor of forgiveness, and Possessor of painful penalty.

5:82 Surely, you will find the strongest among people in enmity towards those who believe, the Jews and those who are polytheists; and surely you will find nearest of them in affection to those who believe, those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks, and that they are not arrogant.

9:11 But if they repent, and establish prayer and give zakah (charity), then (they are) your brothers in religion. And We explain the Verses in detail for a people (who) know.

3:43 "O Mary, be obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow down with those who bow down."

(Muslims bow and prostrate in prayer. This is supported in the Bible (Genesis 43:28, Deuteronomy 9:25, 2 Samuel 1:2, 2 Samuel 9:6, etc.))(Allah knows best)

4:171 O People of the Book, do not commit excess in your religion and do not say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Glory be to Him, that He (should) have a son for Him. To Him whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

(“Trinity” is not mentioned in the Bible)(Allah knows best)

17:15 Whoever is guided then is only guided for his soul. And whoever goes astray then only goes astray against it. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And We will not punish until We have sent a Messenger.

(Jesus did not die for your sins. This concept was invented by Paul. It is not supported by the Torah or the Gospel)(See the article below: “Jesus vs. Paul”)(Allah knows best)

9:31 They have taken their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah, son of Mary, as Lords besides Allah. And they were not commanded except to worship One God. There is no god except Him. Glory be to Him from what they associate.

(Jesus did not follow any rabbi, monk or Pope)(Allah knows best)

57:27 Then We sent Our Messengers on their footsteps and We followed with Jesus, son of Mary, and We gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy. But the monasticism they innovated - We did not prescribe it for them - only seeking the pleasure of Allah, but they did not observe it with right observance. So We gave those who believed among them their reward, but most of them are defiantly disobediently.

5:14 And from those who said, Indeed we are Christians," We took their covenant; but they forgot a part of what they were reminded of. So We aroused enmity and hatred between them until the Day of Resurrection. And soon Allah will inform them of what they used to do.

(According to Acts 11:26, the disciples were called “Christians” first in Antioch, so the word “Christian” was innovated because it is not mentioned in any of the four Gospels)(The word “Christian” is not used in the Qur’an. The literal translation of the Arabic word is “Nazarenes” ((followers) of the Nazarene). On the other hand, "Muslim" is an Arabic word meaning "one who submits (to God)", and “Islam” is an Arabic word meaning “submission (to God)”. God only accepts Submission to Him as a religion (3:85))(Allah knows best)

5:116 And when Allah said, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, "Take me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?" He said, "Glory be to You, it was not for me to say what I had no right. If I had said it, then surely You would have known it. You know what is in myself, and I do not know what is in Yourself. Indeed, You, You are All-Knower of the unseen. 5:117 I did not say to them except what You commanded me – that, "You worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." And I was over them a witness as long as I was among them, then when You raised me, You were the Watcher over them, and You are Witness over all things.

(Catholics took Mary as a god (e.g., they invoke her, and ask her for things). Jesus never did it. Jesus only invoked and worshiped God)(Allah knows best)

5:18 And the Jews and the Christians said "We are the children of Allah and His beloved." Say, "Then why does He punish you for your sins?" Nay, you are human beings from among those He created. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And for Allah is the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the final return.

(God creates, He does not beget His creation. The term “only-begotten son” is only mentioned by John, and not by other gospels because the other gospels are older than John’s, so, that term was falsely innovated due to later theological beliefs)(Allah knows best)

3:45 When the Angels said, "O Mary, indeed, Allah gives you glad tidings of a word from Him, his name is Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, honored in this world and in the Hereafter and among those brought near.

(Christians mention John 1:1 which says that “the word was god”, but the sentence was said by John, not by Jesus (“John 1:1” does not say “Jesus said that the word was...”). If John 1:1 were to say that Jesus is God, then it is in contradiction with the Bible. For example, Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”. The Qur’an confirms that Jesus is not God (5:72, 5:73, 5:116, 5:17))(The word is “from” God. God said “Be”, and he was)(Allah knows best)

3:59 Indeed, the likeness of Jesus with Allah is like the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.

(The miraculous birth of Jesus does not make him a deity. Adam was created likewise)(Allah knows best)

37:95 He said, "Do you worship that which you carve 37:96 While Allah created you and that which you do?"

(Some Christians make images of their idols. It is prohibited in the Bible (Exodus 20:4-6) and in the Qur’an (37:95-96))(Allah knows best)

35:14 If you invoke them, they do not hear your call; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like (the) All-Aware.

(Some Christians invoke Mary, Jesus and invented Saints. They fall into idolatry)(Allah knows best)

4:123 Neither your desire nor the desire of the People of the Book. Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides Allah any protector or any helper.

(Christians innovated that they would be saved by the grace through faith alone, regardless of their deeds, while according to James 2:14-26, “faith without works is dead”; according to Matthew 5:17, Jesus confirmed the Law “do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them”; according to Matthew 23:2-3, “the teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.”; according to Acts 15:5 and 15:20, early Christians followed the Law)(Allah knows best)

2:80 And they say, "Never will the Fire touch us except for a numbered days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant from Allah, so Allah will never break His Covenant? Or do you say against Allah that which you do not know?"

5:66 And if they had stood firmly by the Torah and the Gospel and what was revealed to them from their Lord, surely they would have eaten from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them is a moderate community, but many of them - evil is what they do.

(Jesus did not abrogate the Law, but confirmed it (Matthew 5:17))(Allah knows best)

3:49 And a Messenger to the Children of Israel, "Indeed, I have come to you with a sign from your Lord - that I design for you from clay like the form of the bird, then I breath into it and it becomes a bird by the permission of Allah. And I cure the blind, and the leper, and I give life to the dead by the permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed, in that is surely a sign for you, if you are believers.

(Verse 3:49 says about Jesus “I cure”, “I design”, “I breath”, “I give life”. So, Jesus performed Signs as “a sign from your Lord” and “by the permission of God”. So, if God had not given it to Jesus, then there would be no Sign at all, and if God was not to give permission, then there would be no Sign at all, then the performer (Jesus) is “irrelevant”, because Jesus can not be given a sign on his own. Other messengers came with Signs. Because a human performed it, it does not make him a deity)(Allah knows best)

9:30 And the Jews said, "Uzair is son of Allah." And the Christians said, "Messiah is son of Allah." That is their saying with their mouths, they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before. (May) Allah destroy them. How deluded are they.

(According to Verse 9:30, the Judeo-Christian concept “son of God” is not from God, but from those who disbelieved before)(Allah knows best)

19:16 And mention in the Book Mary, when she withdrew from her family to an eastern place. 19:17 Then she took a screen (hijab/veil) from them. Then We sent to her Our Spirit, then he appeared to her in the likeness of a well-proportioned man.

(Mary wore a veil. Most Christians do not wear it. The use of veil is supported by the Bible (1 Corinthians 11:6); and there is no objections on using veil in the Torah (Genesis 24:65, Genesis 38:14-15))(Allah knows best)

3:7 He is the One Who revealed to you the Book, in it are Verses which are absolutely clear - they are the foundation of the Book, and others are allegorical. Then as for those in whose hearts is perversity - [so] they follow what is allegorical of it, seeking discord and seeking its interpretation. And none except Allah knows its interpretation. And those who are firm in knowledge, they say, "We believe in it. All is from our Lord." And not will take heed except men of understanding.

(Many Christians follow parables or allegories, instead of the clear verses in the Bible (e.g., the Bible says clearly that eating pig is forbidden). Matthew 13:13 and Luke 8:10 confirm that the purpose of the parables is that they may not understand; that is because Jesus was only sent to the Children of Israel, not to gentiles. See below the article: “To whom was Jesus sent? Was Jesus sent to the gentiles?”)(Allah knows best)

5:3 Are made unlawful for you the dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which is dedicated to other than Allah, and that which is strangled, and that which is fatally hit, and that which has a fatal fall, and that which is gored by horns, and that which ate the wild animal except what you slaughtered, and that which is sacrificed on stone altars, and that you seek division by divining arrows - that is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of your religion; so do not fear them, but fear Me. This day I have perfected your religion for you and I have completed My Favor upon you, and I have approved for you Islam as a religion. But whoever is forced by hunger with no inclination to sin, then indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(The Qur’an prohibits that meat which is prohibited in the Bible. Acts 15:29 says, “you are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things”. Other verses in that sense: Acts 15:20, Acts 21:25, Exodus 34:15, Revelation 2:20, Deuteronomy 14:21, Leviticus 22:8, etc.)(In regard to pig meat, it is forbidden in Deuteronomy 14:8, Leviticus 11:7-8, Isaiah 66:17, Isaiah 65:2-4, etc.)(According to Christians, some verses in the Bible declare all foods clean (e.g. Mark 7:15-20), but it contradicts the Torah, the Gospel itself and the Qur’an. Matthew 5:17 says “do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them”)(In the Bible, there is no an explicit mention of “forbidden” meat to be allowed (e.g. it is not explicitly said that people can eat pig meat), but it is an assumption and a misinterpretation. It also contradicts early Christians’ practice of following the law (e.g. Acts 15:5, 15:20))(Allah knows best)

2:135 And they said, "Be Jews or Christians, then you will be guided." Say, "Nay, the religion of Abraham, the upright; and he was not of those who associated partners."

(Judaism and Christianity are called “Abrahamic religions”, but according to Verse 2:135, Jews and Christians do not follow the true religion anymore, because they differ from the religion of Abraham, which is revealed in the Qur’an. They are required to follow the Qur’an, because Jesus was sent to the children of Israel, and he announced them the coming of Muhammad (61:6), but they rejected Jesus. On the other hand, Jesus was not sent to those Christians who did not belong to the Children of Israel (this is supported by Matthew 15:24, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel”). Christians must follow the Qur’an as well, because Muhammad was sent to all mankind (7:158, 34:28, 3:96, 21:107, 6:19, 36:70), including Jews and Christians)(According to the Qur’an, Jews or Christians might differ from the true religion in what they concealed of the Book (6:91, 2:143), and in what they forgot (5:13), and in what they were burdened for their wrongdoing (16:124, 4:160), and in what they innovated (57:27), and in following their desires (2:120, 5:48), and in committing excess in their religion (4:171), etc.)(See the link below “Is Muhammad mentioned in the Bible?”)(Allah knows best)

14:35 And when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this city secure and keep me and my sons away from worshiping idols. 14:36 My Lord, indeed, they have led astray many among mankind. So whoever follows me, then indeed, he is of me, and whoever disobeys me, then indeed, You are Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(Islam is the oldest religion, because Adam was commanded to submit (to God)(aka “be a Muslim”). And God revealed the religion of Abraham to Muhammad, so it is not a new religion)(Allah knows best)

16:123 Then We revealed to you to follow the religion of Abraham, upright; and he was not of those who associate."

4:125 And who is better in religion than (one) who submits his face to Allah and he is a good-doer and follows the religion of Abraham - the upright? And Allah took Abraham as a friend.

5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who said, "Indeed, Allah, He is the Messiah, the son of Mary." Say, "Then who has the power against Allah in anything if He intends to destroy the Messiah, the son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on the earth?" And for Allah is the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between both of them. He creates what He wills, and Allah is on everything All-Powerful.

(According to the Bible, Jesus prayed to God (Matthew 11:25, Luke 23:34, etc.). Jesus never prayed to himself. Likewise, Muslims only invoke God)(Paul wrote “Acts”. According to “Acts 7:59”, Stephen prayed to Jesus, so it contradicts the Gospel, and opposes Jesus’ teachings)(According to Dr. Shabir Ally, “when we compare the gospels one to another we can see how the stories about Jesus were changed to reflect a higher view of Jesus”; “while Jesus was asleep in a boat a storm rocked the boat. In Mark the disciples awoke Jesus with this mild rebuke: “Teacher, do you not care if we drown?” (Mark 4:38) But in Matthew they pray to him: “Lord, save us! We are perishing.” (Matthew 8:25) The rebuke was changed to a prayer”)(The current Gospel also contradicts itself, so it is not a reliable source, and you have to use the Qur’an as a Criterion over the Bible)(Allah knows best)

2:62 Indeed, those who believed, and those who became Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians - who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteous deeds, so for them is their reward with their Lord; and they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.

(Before the Qur’an was revealed, the Jews and Christians who “sought” submission (3:85) and “believed” (2:62), for them is their reward (2:62)(but, e.g. trinitarian Christians are not believers (5:17))(See the article below “Is it ok to be a Jew or Christian?”)(Allah knows best)

3:95 Say, Allah has told the truth, then follow the religion of Abraham, upright; and he was not of the polytheists. 3:96 Indeed, the first House set up for mankind was that at Bakkah, blessed and a guidance for the worlds. 3:97 In it are clear signs, the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it - is safe. And to Allah upon the people is a pilgrimage to the House – for whoever is able to it a way. And whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.

(Muslims follow the religion of Abraham. This is ordered in the Qur’an. If you do not follow the religion of Abraham, you are not submitting to God)(E.g. The first House set up for mankind was that at Mecca. It was built by Abraham and Ishmael, and it was the standing place of Abraham, but the House did not exist before Abraham, so it is the religion of Abraham)(Allah knows best)

2:35 And We said, "O Adam, dwell you and your spouse in Paradise, and (you both) eat freely from wherever you (both) wish. But do not (you two) approach this tree, lest you (both) be of the wrongdoers." 2:36 Then Satan made (both of) them slip out of it, and he got (both of) them out from that in which they (both) were. And We said, "Go down (all of you), as enemies to one another; and on the earth, for you is a dwelling place and a provision for a period."

(Jews and Christians wrongly made a woman responsible for the original sin. They historically made laws against women’s rights)(See the article below: “Do non-Muslims oppress women?” and “Was a woman responsible for the “original sin”?”)(Allah knows best)

4:25 And whoever among you is not able to marry free chaste believing women, then from those whom your right hands possess of believing girls. And Allah knows all about your faith. You are of one another. So marry them with the permission of their family and give them their bridal due in a fair manner. Chaste, not committing immorality and not taking secret lovers. Then if after marriage they commit adultery, then their punishment is half of that which is for free chaste women. That is for whoever among you who fears committing sin, and to be patient is better for you. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(Many Jews, Christians and atheists have relations with many men or women without being married, that’s a major sin. It is forbidden in the Bible and the Qur’an)(Allah knows best)

33:32 O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear, then do not be soft in speech, lest he, in whose heart is a disease, should be moved with desire, but say an appropriate word. ... 33:34 And remember what is recited in your houses of the Verses of Allah and the wisdom. Indeed, Allah is All-Subtle, All-Aware.

(Women are allowed to learn the Qur’an. It also implies to have knowledge in different fields (astronomy, biology, geology, etc.). So, it implies that women are allowed to receive education. On the other hand, in Judaism, the Talmud says, “women are exempt from the study of the Torah”. So, the rabbis would be preventing women from salvation)(Allah knows best)

2:216 Fighting is prescribed upon you while it is disliked by you. But perhaps you dislike a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you do not know.

(Christian/Jewish Bible supports polygamy (2 Chronicles 11:21, Genesis 4:19, 1 Kings 11:3); for example, 2 Chronicles 11:21 says “Rehoboam loved Maakah daughter of Absalom more than any of his other wives and concubines. In all, he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines”; in regard to Solomon, 1 Kings 11:3 says “he had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines”)(See the link below “Is polygamy okay?”)(Allah knows best)

3:67 Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a true Muslim, and he was not of the polytheists. 3:68 Indeed, the best people to claim relationship with Abraham (are) those who follow him and this Prophet and those who believe. And Allah (is) a Guardian (of) the believers.
