Did a dead man testify against his killer? Did some people hit a murder victim with a piece of cow?

2:47 O Children of Israel, remember My Favor which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you over the worlds. ... 2:71 He said, "Indeed, He says, "Indeed, it is a cow neither trained to plough the earth, nor water the field; sound, with no blemish on it." They said, "Now you have come with the truth." So they slaughtered it, and they were near to not doing (it). 2:72 And when you killed a man (nafsan), then you disputed concerning it, but Allah is the One Who brought forth that which you were concealing. 2:73 So We said, "Strike him (id’ribuhu) with a part/some of it." Thus Allah revives the dead, and shows you His Signs, perhaps you may use your intellect. 2:74 Then, after that, your hearts hardened like stones or stronger in hardness. And indeed, certainly (there are) stones from which rivers gush forth, and indeed, certainly (there are some of them) which split, so water comes out from it, and indeed, certainly (there are some) which fall down because of fear of Allah. And Allah is not unaware of what you do. 2:75 Do you hope that they will believe you while indeed a party of them (used to) hear the words of Allah, then they distort it after they understood it, while they know?

(The Verses do not say that a man testified against his killer, or that the victim was hit with a piece of cow at all. Some disbelievers try to distort the Verses, making a ridiculous interpretation, in order to discredit Islam)(The root of the word “nafsan” (translated as “man” (2:72)), is “Nun-Fa-Siin”, and it means “breath, gust, drew breath, sigh, etc.”. It is translated as “man/self” (2:72), because a man breathes. Notice that “it” and “man / breathing / self / soul” (nafsan) are a feminine words in Arabic, so “it” refers to “man / breathing / soul / self”. So, “it” does not refer to “cow” anyhow (also feminine), because “cow” is mentioned in a different event. According to the context (2:47), Children of Israel is asked to remember God’s Favor, then each event starts with “and when” (2:49, 2:50, 2:51, 2:53, 2:54, 2:55, 2:58, 2:60, 2:61, 2:63, 2:67 and 2:72). “And” (wa) is not chronological in Arabic, but these Verses use “and” to mention the Favors of God, without necessarily chronological order, and “and/wa” also indicates different events. So it does not say that the event in Verse 2:72 happened after the event in Verse 2:71, but the events in Verses 2:71 and 2:72-73 are different, so “it” (2:73) does not refer to “cow” (2:71) anyhow)(The sentence "Strike him (id’ribuhu) with a part/some of it." (2:73) could also be translated/interpreted as “set forth/heal him with a part/some of breathing/soul”, instead of “strike”, because the root of “Id’ribu” (strike) is “Dad-Ra-Ba”, and it means “to heal, strike, go, make a journey, travel, set forth, set, leave/forsake, a blow, etc.”. And according to Verse 8:50, the translation “strike” refers to take away souls, rather than reviving. The translation / interpretation of Verse 2:73 as “set forth him with some of breathing” would be in line with, for example, Verse 3:49, “I breath into it and it becomes a bird”, or Verse 39:6 “He created you from a single soul / breathing (nafsin)”, while striking with a cow to revive the dead is not supported by any Verse)(The children of Israel were the murderers and they concealed the murder. The conclusion is that after God showed His Signs, the hearts of the Children of Israel hardened...)(The event is compared to that in Deuteronomy 21:1-9, a heifer is slaughtered when it is not known who was the murderer. So, even the Bible does not say that it is done to revive a murder victim, but, in that case, to be absolved of bloodguilt. Anyway, the story in Deuteronomy is one event, while the Qur’an mentions two different events which could not be related)(Allah knows best)

3:49 And a Messenger to the Children of Israel, "Indeed, I have come to you with a sign from your Lord - that I design for you from clay like the form of the bird, then I breath into it and it becomes a bird by the permission of Allah. And I cure the blind, and the leper, and I give life to the dead by the permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed, in that is surely a sign for you, if you are believers.

8:50 And if you (could) see when the Angels take away souls of those who disbelieve, striking (yadribuna) their faces and their backs "Taste the punishment of the Blazing Fire."

(Verse 8:50 says that the Angels take away souls, striking their faces and their backs. So “striking” is used in the context of taking away souls)(Allah knows best)

47:27 Then how, when The Angels take them in death, striking their faces and their backs?

2:260 And when Abraham said, "My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead." He said, "Have you not believed?" He said, "Yes, but to satisfy my heart." He said "Then take four birds and incline them towards you, then put on each hill a portion of them; then call them, they will come to you in haste. And know that Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

40:68 He is the One Who gives life and causes death. And when He decrees a matter, then He only says to it, "Be," and it is.

19:9 He said, "Thus, your Lord said, 'It is easy for Me, and certainly I have created you before, while you were nothing.'"

(The One Who created everything is Able to revive the dead)(Allah knows best)

51:28 Then he felt a fear from them. They said, "(Do) not fear," and they gave him glad tidings of a learned son. 51:29 Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, and struck her face and [she] said, "An old barren woman"

(The context is that she (Abraham’s wife) struck her face in response to that “they gave him glad tidings of a learned son” (51:28), so it was just her reaction)(Genesis 17:17 tells about Abraham’s reaction)(Allah knows best)
