How many gardens are there in Paradise?

How many gardens are there in Paradise?

39:73 And those who feared their Lord (will) be driven to Paradise (l-janati) in groups until, when they reach it, and its gates (will) be opened and its keepers (will) say to them, "Peace be upon you, you have done well, so enter it to abide eternally (therein)."

(“Garden”, in singular, is taken as the name of that entire place, because “Jannah / Garden” is a proper noun in Arabic. That place includes gardens, springs, rivers, gates, etc.)(The root of “Jannah” (Paradise / Garden) is “Jiim-Nun-Nun” and it means “become thick / full-grown / blossom, herbage, garden, etc.”)(Allah knows best)

41:30 Indeed, those who say, "Our Lord is Allah," then stand firm – the Angels will descend on them, "Do not fear, and do not grieve but receive the glad tidings of Paradise (bil-janati) which you were promised.

57:21 Race towards the forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden (wajannatin) whose width is like the width of the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. That is the Bounty of Allah, He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the Possessor of Great Bounty.

79:41 Then indeed, Paradise (l-janata) - it is the refuge.

18:31 Those, for them are Gardens (jannatu) of Eden, underneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, reclining therein on adorned couches. Excellent is the reward, and good is the resting place.

22:23 Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do the righteous deeds to Gardens (jannatin) underneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein (will be of) silk.

35:33 Gardens (jannatu) of Eternity, which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein (will be of) silk.

78:31 Indeed, for the righteous is success, 78:32 Gardens (hadaiqa) and grapevines,

(The Verse says “Gardens and grapevines”, because the two are included in Paradise)(“Hadaiqa” (gardens) is plural; the root of “hadaiqa” is “Ha-Dal-Qaf” and it means “to surround / encompass / encircle a person or thing”. There are gardens for each individual)(Allah knows best)

15:45 Indeed, the righteous (will be) in Gardens (jannatin) and water springs.

(The Verse says “in Gardens and water springs”, because the two are included in Paradise, so there is a distinction between Gardens and Garden/Paradise)(Allah knows best)

59:20 Not equal are the companions of the Fire and the companions of Paradise (l-janati). The companions of Paradise (l-janati) they are the achievers.

(Verses 25:11-15 and 59:20 confirm that “Paradise/Garden” is the name of that entire place, because there is distinction between Paradise/Garden and Hell in the Verse)(Allah knows best)

25:11 Nay, they deny the Hour, and We have prepared for (those) who deny the Hour a Blazing Fire. ... 25:15 Say, "Is that better or Garden (jannatu) of Eternity, which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.

18:107 Indeed, those who believed and did righteous deeds, for them will be Gardens (jannatu) of Paradise (l-fir’dawsi) as a lodging,

(Verse 18:107 makes distinction between “Gardens” and “Paradise”, it says “Gardens of Paradise”, so “Paradise” is the name of the entire Place and “gardens” are included in it)(“Firdaus” (18:107, 23:11) is used as another name for “Paradise / Garden”. The root of “fir’dawsi” is “Fa-Ra-Dal-Sin”, and it means “spread on the ground. Fardasatun - width, broodiness, to produce opulent and of various kind. Fardasan - to be ample / broad / wide / large / capacious, comfortable, take a wide range. Firdaus – fertile land, the garden which contains everything that should be in a garden, orchard, fruitful valley, the best place of paradise”)(Allah knows best)

55:46 But for (him) who fears the standing (before) his Lord are two gardens (jannatani).

(There are two Gardens for each individual)(Allah knows best)

55:54 Reclining on couches, whose inner linings are of brocade, and the fruit of both the gardens (l-janatayni) is near.

41:11 Then He directed (Himself) towards the heaven while it was smoke, and He said to it and to the earth, "Come both of you willingly or unwillingly." They both said, "We come willingly." 41:12 Then He completed them as seven heavens in two periods and He revealed in each heaven its affair. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and to guard. That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knower. … 57:21 Race towards the forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heaven (l-samai) and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. That is the Bounty of Allah, He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the Possessor of Great Bounty.

(Likewise, “the heaven” (l-samai) is used as a generic noun, so it includes all the heavens. Notice that the Garden is compared to the heaven in size (57:21), and both words are generic nouns)(“Earth” refers to matter. Heavens and earth (matter) also have the same size because the whole heavens contain matter)(Allah knows best)
