Moses and the Gospel?

7:155 And Moses chose from his people seventy men for Our appointment. Then when the earthquake seized them, he said, "O my Lord, if You had willed, You could have destroyed them before and me. Would You destroy us for what the foolish among us did? It was not but Your trial by which You let go astray whom You will and You guide whom You will. You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the Best of Forgivers. 7:156 And ordain for us good in this world, and in the Hereafter. Indeed, we have turned to You." He said, "I afflict with My punishment whom I will, but My Mercy encompasses everything. So I will ordain it for those who are righteous and give zakah and those who believe in Our Verses. 7:157 Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find written in what they have - the Torah and the Gospel. He commands them to the right and forbids them from the wrong, and he makes lawful for them the pure things and makes unlawful for them the impure things and he relieves them of their burden and the fetters which were upon them. So those who believe in him, and honor him, and help him and follow the light, which has been sent down with him, those are the successful ones." 7:158 Say, "O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, to Whom is the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no god except Him, He gives life and causes death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, who believes in Allah and His Words, and follow him so that you may be guided."

(The Verses of the Qur’an do not support that the “Gospel” was mentioned to Moses. One interpretation is that, in Verse 7:156, one “topic” has been concluded, and in Verse 7:157, a new one has begun)(In Verse 7:156, it seems that God responds to what Moses said (“forgive us and have mercy upon us, etc.”), so God responds or speaks about Mercy, which is for those who are righteous, etc. Even if Verse 7:157 were also to respond the matter mentioned by Moses (about forgiveness and Mercy), then it would not be addressed to Moses, but to those who know about Muhammad or from the time of Muhammad, so the Qur’an is correct anyhow. Notice that Verses 7:157-158 do not even mention the words “Moses”, “Mercy” or “forgiveness”, which is the specific subject in Verses 7:155 and 7:156, but, instead, Verses 7:157-158 mention the words “the unlettered Prophet” (Muhammad), “successful ones” and “follow him so that you may be guided”; so, the use of different words may also indicate that Verses 7:157-158 are a new topic. Nevertheless, Verse 36:11 confirms that those who follow the Reminder, they obtain forgiveness. Notice that, in regard to the unlettered Prophet, Verse 7:157 specifically mentions “whom they find written in what they have”, “those who believe in him”, “and honor him”, “and help him”, etc., so it is clear that Verse 7:157 is addressed to the people at the time of Muhammad. In conclusion, Verse 7:157 is a new “topic”, about the unlettered Prophet, while Moses is not mentioned, nor is said that the Gospel was mentioned to Moses)(Another point is that Verse 7:158 is explicitly addressed to mankind (Say, “O mankind,”). This Verse actually confirms that there is a “break” in the story of Moses (both, Verse 7:157 and Verse 7:158, speak about the unlettered Prophet). And, in these Verses, Moses is not mentioned, nor is said that the Gospel was mentioned to Moses either)(Another point is that Verse 7:157 begins by saying “Those who follow...”, so it does not necessarily imply that it refers to the previous sentence, but the sentence itself indicates that it is a new topic, involving other people (“those who follow”). Similarly, Verse 20:91 is relating something from the past (before Moses returned), then Verse 20:92 is back to the the moment in which Moses had returned, and the only indicator of it is the sentence itself. So, it is a style in the Qur’an, and is linguistically correct)(Allah knows best)

20:91 They said, "Never we will cease being devoted to it until Moses returns to us." 20:92 He said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray,

61:6 And when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."

(Jesus was the second last Messenger, so Moses came before Jesus)(Allah knows best)

5:46 And on their footsteps We sent Jesus, son of Mary, confirming what was before him of the Torah, and We gave him the Gospel, in it was Guidance and light and confirming what was before him of the Torah and a Guidance and an admonition for the God conscious.

(The Gospel was given to Jesus (5:46) long after the time of Moses. Verse 5:46 confirms that the Torah “was before him”. So, the Qur’an actually suggests that the Gospel was not given to Moses, because Verse 5:46 suggests that the Torah/Moses was before the Gospel/Jesus)(According to the bookThe Torah” by Isaac Leeser, “Rabbinic tradition’s understanding is that all of the teachings found in the Torah (both written and oral) were given by God through the prophet Moses”)(Allah knows best)

9:124 And whenever a Surah is revealed, among them are some who say, "Which of you has increased in faith by it?" As for those who believe, then it has increased them in faith and they rejoice. 9:125 But as for those in whose hearts is a disease, it increases them in evil to their evil. And they die while they are disbelievers.

(The Qur’an is written the way It is for a purpose)(Allah knows best)

2:26 Indeed, Allah is not ashamed to set forth an example even of a mosquito and something above it. Then as for those who believed, they will know that it is the truth from their Lord. And those who disbelieved will say, “what did Allah intend by this example? He lets go astray many by it and He guides many by it. And He does not let go astray by it except the defiantly disobedient.

32:13 And if We had willed, surely We would have given every soul its guidance, but the Word from Me will come true, "I will fill Hell with jinn and men all together.
