Functions of the heart?

Functions of the heart?

17:46 And We have placed on their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And when you mention your Lord alone in the Qur’an, they turn their backs in aversion.

11:5 No doubt, they fold up their breasts that they may hide from Him. Surely, when they cover (themselves) with their garments, He knows what they conceal and what they reveal. Indeed, He is All-Knower of what is in the breasts.

39:22 So is one whose breast Allah has expanded for Islam, so that he is upon a light from his Lord. So woe to (those whose) hearts are hardened from the remembrance of Allah. Those are in clear error.

114:4 From the evil of the whisperer, the one who withdraws, 114:5 The one who whispers in the breasts of mankind,

(According to the article “Thinking from the heart – heart brain science” by “noeticsi(dot)com”: in the relatively new field of neurocardiology has firmly established that the heart is a sensory organ and an information encoding and processing center, with an extensive intrinsic nervous system that’s sufficiently sophisticated to qualify as a heart brain. Its circuitry enables it to learn, remember, and make functional decisions independent of the cranial brain. To everyone’s surprise, the findings have demonstrated that the heart’s intrinsic nervous system is a complex, self-organized system; its neuroplasticity, or ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections over both the short and long term, has been well demonstrated”)(Allah knows best)

53:11 The heart did not lie what it saw.

(A polygraph or “lie detector” measures and records the pulse while a person is asked and answers a series of questions)(Allah knows best)

33:53 O you who believe, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when permission is given to you for a meal, without awaiting its preparation. But when you are invited, then enter; and when you have eaten, then disperse without seeking to remain for a conversation. Indeed, that was troubling the Prophet, and he is shy of you. But Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask them for something, then ask them from behind a screen. That is purer for your hearts (liqulubikum) and their hearts (waqulubihinna). And it is not for you that you trouble the Messenger of Allah nor that you should ever marry his wives after him. Indeed, that is an enormity near Allah.

(The Arabic word “qulubi” is translated/interpreted as “heart”. Some non-Muslims object that the functions mentioned in the Bible and the Qur’an, are functions of the brain/mind, rather than functions of the heart, but, in Arabic, the root of “qulubi” (heart) is “Q-L-B”, and it means “The heart of something. In the Qur’an, it means the heart of the self, that is the heart and mind”. So, the Qur’an is scientifically correct anyhow, because that word, according to the context, could refer to the heart, or the mind or both. All scientists agree that there is a connection between the heart and brain/mind)(Allah knows best)
