Are Muslims divided into moderates and radicals/extremists?

Are Muslims divided into moderates and radicals/extremists?

68:35 Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals? 68:36 What is with you? How do you judge?

(“Muslim” is an Arabic word meaning “one who submits (to God)”. By definition, if a person were to call himself Muslim, but he does not submit to the will of God, he is not a Muslim)(According to Verse 68:35, Muslims are never criminals, because, by definition, they obey God, and what God orders is good (e.g. fighting is only in the context of self-defense and against oppression/oppressors, in the entire Qur’an), so there are no degrees or levels among Muslims, but there are only two kinds: the people who submit / Muslims, and the people who does not submit / non-Muslims. In conclusion, “moderate” or “radical or “extremist” are obviously wrong and falsely invented terms)(Allah knows best)

27:91 "I am commanded only to worship the Lord of this city, the One Who made it sacred and to Him (belongs) all things. And I am commanded to be of the Muslims

41:33 And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteous deeds and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims/those who submit?"

7:126 And you do not take revenge on us except because we believed in the Signs of our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and cause us to die as Muslims."

2:132 And Abraham enjoined upon his sons and Jacob, "O my sons, indeed, Allah has chosen for you the religion, so do not die except while you are submissive (mus’limuna)."

4:95 Not equal are the those among the believers who sit, except those who are disabled, and those who strive in the way of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred in rank those who strive with their wealth and their lives to those who sit. And to all Allah has promised the best. And Allah has preferred those who strive over those who sit, with a great reward,

(There are ranks among the believers, not among Muslims)(Allah knows best)

9:19 Do you make the providing of water for the pilgrims and the maintenance of Al-Masjid Al-Haraam equal to (one) who believes in Allah and the Last Day, and strives in the way of Allah? They are not equal near Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. 9:20 Those who believed and emigrated and strove in the way of Allah with their wealth and their lives are greater in rank near Allah. And they are the successful.

49:14 The Bedouins say, "We believe." Say, "You have not believed; but say, "We have submitted," and faith has not yet entered your hearts. But if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not deprive anything from your deeds. Indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(Someone who says that he believes, then he commits evil deeds, then he is an hypocrite (63:1-3))(On the contrary, some people do good deeds, but they do not believe (49:14))(Allah knows best)

63:1 When the hypocrites come to you, they say, "We testify that you are surely the Messenger of Allah." And Allah knows that you are surely His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are surely liars. 63:2 They take their oaths (as) a cover, so they turn away from the Way of Allah. Indeed, evil is what they used to do. 63:3 That is because they believed, then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed, so they do not understand.

42:13 He has ordained for you of the religion what He enjoined upon Noah, and that which We have revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not to be divided therein. Difficult for the polytheists is that to which you call them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides to Himself whoever turns.

(It is forbidden for Muslims to be divided. “Moderate” or “radical” terms imply division)(Allah knows best)

3:103 And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together, and do not be divided. And remember the Favor of Allah on you when you were enemies, then He made friendship between your hearts then by His Favor you became brothers. And you were on the brink of the pit of the Fire, then He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes clear for you His Verses so that you may be guided.

6:159 Indeed, those who divide their religion and become sects, you are not with them in anything. Their affair is only with Allah, then He will inform them of what they used to do.

3:85 And whoever seeks other than Islam as religion - then never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be from the losers.

(“Islam” is an Arabic word meaning “submission (to God)”. According to the Verse, other than “Submission (to God)” is not accepted)(Allah knows best)

9:11 But if they repent, and establish prayer and give zakah (charity), then (they are) your brothers in religion. And We explain the Verses in detail for a people (who) know.

23:52 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion. And I Am your Lord, so fear Me. 23:53 But they cut off their affair between them into sects, each faction rejoices in what they have.

3:110 You are the best of people raised for mankind - enjoining the right and forbidding the wrong and believing in Allah. And if the People of the Book had believed, surely it would have been good for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.

(You cannot use the word “Islam” and “Muslim” and make it into a pejorative term)(See the link below “Is it ok to use the words “Islam”, “Muslim” or “Jihad” and make it into a pejorative meaning or term (e.g. islamist, Islamic extremist, Jihadist, etc.)?”)(Allah knows best)

60:1 O you who believe, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies offering them love while they have disbelieved in what came to you of the truth, driving out the Messenger and yourselves because you believe in Allah, your Lord. If you come forth to strive in My way and to seek My Pleasure. You confide to them love, but I Am most knowing of what you conceal and what you declare. And whoever does it among you then he has certainly strayed from the straight path.

(Non-Muslims are the only ones who are radicals / extremists. See the link below “Which religion is moderate and which is extreme? Who are the radicals? Judaism vs. Christianity vs. Islam vs. atheism”)(Allah knows best)

3:43 "O Mary, be obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow down with those who bow down."

(It is forbidden for Muslims to be divided)(Allah knows best)

9:107 And those who take a mosque (for) harm and disbelief and division among the believers, and as a station for whoever warred against Allah and His Messenger before. And they will surely swear, "we wish only the good." And Allah bears witness that indeed they are liars.

49:10 The believers are only brothers, so make peace between your brothers, and fear Allah so that you may receive mercy.

3:105 And do not be like those who became divided and differed after the clear proofs came to them. And they will have a great punishment.

3:139 And do not weaken and do not grieve and you will be superior, if you are believers.

28:17 He said, "My Lord, because You have favored me, so I will not be a supporter of the criminals."

(Muslims are not criminals. The Qur’an opposes the criminals)(Allah knows best)

54:47 Indeed, the criminals are in an error and madness.

20:74 Indeed, he who comes to his Lord as a criminal then indeed, for him is Hell. He will neither die in it and nor live.

35:32 Then We caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our slaves; and among them (is he) who wrongs himself, and among them (is he who is) moderate, and among them (is he who is) foremost in good deeds by Allah’s permission. That is the great Bounty.

(Verse 35:32 does not specify the word “Muslim”, so according to the context (35:26, 35:36), it might refer to believers (vs. disbelievers). There are degrees in the matter of belief, not among the Muslims. The context is not about fighting, but it is in regard to “good deeds” (35:32), it is better to be the “foremost”, than to be “moderate”)(Allah knows best)

2:190 And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you, and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like the transgressors.

(Fighting is to be done in self-defense and against oppression/oppressors)(Allah knows best)

17:33 And (do) not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right. And whoever (is) killed wrongfully, verily We have made for his heir an authority, but he should not exceed in the killing. Indeed, he is helped.

(In regard to killing, you “should not exceed in the killing” (17:33). So Muslims fight by right, if they were killed wrongfully, then they are supported by the Law)(See the article below “Do Muslims have to kill Jews and Christians just because they are not Muslims? Or is it only allowed in self-defense?”)(Allah knows best)

26:227 Except those who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they were wronged. And those who have wronged will come to know to what return they will return.

(Self-defense)(Allah knows best)

72:1 Say, "It has been revealed to me that a group of jinn listened, and they said, "Indeed, we heard an amazing Qur’an, ... 72:14 And that among us are Muslims and among us are unjust. And whoever submits, then those have sought the right path.

(The context of Verse 72:14 is the jinns; among the jinns there are Muslims and there are unjust (non-Muslim). The Verse does not mean or imply that there are Muslims who are unjust, but the context is that there are “jinn” who are unjust, because Chapter 72, called “The Jinn”, speaks about their kind)(Allah knows best)

2:85 Then you are those who kill yourselves and evict a party of you from their homes, you support one another against them in sin and transgression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom; while their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Book and disbelieve in part? Then what should be the recompense for those who do so among you, except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the most severe punishment? And Allah is not unaware of what you do.

(According to Verse 2:85, an in-between state is not accepted)(Allah knows best)

33:58 And those who harm believing men and believing women for other than what they have earned, then certainly, they bear false accusation and manifest sin. … 33:60 If the hypocrites and those in whose heart is a disease and those who spread rumors in the city do not cease, We will let you overpower them, then they will not remain your neighbors therein except for a little,

(Some non-Muslims generalize about Muslims, hate Muslims, and have a preconceived opinion, as if any Muslim, even defending himself, were a terrorist, and as if non-Muslims were always the good guys, while (real) Muslims only fight by right. Those who kill someone who fights by right, for (some non-Muslims’) evil reasons, then they are the terrorist and murder ones, not the Muslim)(Allah knows best)

5:32 From that time, We ordained on the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul other than for a soul or for spreading corruption in the earth, then it is as if he has killed the whole mankind, and whoever saves it then it is as if he has saved the whole mankind. And surely Our Messengers came to them with clear Signs, yet after that, indeed, many of them surely commit excesses in the earth.

(Many non-Muslims are radical/extremist/terrorist. They go to war for evil reasons (robbery, racism, xenophobia, colonialism, hate, proselytism, oppression, etc.), and lie to the people. They kill directly and indirectly, in many ways. For example, the pollution in cities kills millions people per year, or the nuclear power stations may kill workers or people living around, but they would not dismantle it for one or few persons; or, in United States, the gun violence results in tens of thousands of deaths annually, or smoking kills slowly to smokers and the people around smokers, etc.; and historically, USA killed civilians (women and children) in Hiroshima and Nagasaki; communist regimes are atheists and killed more than 140 million people, etc. That’s terrorism. Some non-Muslims blame Islam and Muslims as the cause of their problems, but they are themselves the problem, not Muslims)(Many people died for coronavirus (covid-19), because many politicians wanted to save economy, rather than people, and/or their presidents promoted not wearing mask (e.g. Brazilian and USA presidents (Bolsonaro and Trump), etc.); many people in general did not care about infecting others, etc. Such people committed genocide against those who died for covid (“Genocide” is understood as the attempted destruction of people))(Allah knows best)
