Can a Muslim be gay? What does the Qur'an say about homosexuality? And what about the Bible?

Can a Muslim be gay? What does the Qur'an say about homosexuality? And what about the Bible?

7:80 And when Lot said to his people, "Do you commit (such) immorality which no one has preceded you of the worlds? 7:81 Indeed, you approach men lustfully instead of women. Nay, you are a people who commit excesses." 7:82 And the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Drive them out of your town. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure." 7:83 So We saved him and his family except his wife, she was of those who stayed behind. 7:84 And We showered upon them a rain. So see how was the end of the criminals.

26:165 Do you approach the males among the worlds 26:166 And you leave what your Lord created for you as your mates? Nay, you are a people transgressing." 26:167 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, surely, you will be of those driven out." 26:168 He said, "Indeed, I am (of) those who detest your deed. 26:169 My Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 26:170 So We saved him and his family all, 26:171 Except an old woman (who was) among those who remained behind. 26:172 Then We destroyed the others. 26:173 And We rained on them a rain, and evil was the rain (on) those who were warned. 26:174 Indeed, in that is surely a sign, but most of them are not believers.

4:15 And those who commit immorality from your women, then bring against them four witnesses from among you. And if they testify, then confine them in their houses until death comes to them or Allah makes for them a way. 4:16 And the two among you who commit it, then punish both of them. But if they repent and correct themselves, then turn away from both of them. Indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.

(One interpretation of Verses 4:15-16 is that it refers to homosexuality, because Verse 4:15 only refers to women, and it is an immorality in which men is not involved. And Verse 4:16 uses words in masculine dual, so women is not involved. This interpretation could be supported by Verses 27:54-55, in which homosexuality is called an “immorality” (it is not called “adultery” or “fornication” which involves a male and a female (24:2)), and Verse 4:15 also uses the word “immorality”)(One interpretation of the sentence “confine them in their houses until death comes to them or Allah makes for them a way”, in Verse 4:15, is that they are not sentenced to death, so, “until death comes to them” indicates that they are confined forever, unless they repent and correct themselves in order to get a way out (4:16))(An interpretation is that there is no a different punishment for women and men because Verse 4:16 does not specify any punishment, so according to the context, it is the same punishment for men and for women (confined), because the Verses complement each other)(Allah knows best)

27:54 And Lot, when he said to his people, "Do you commit immorality while you see? 27:55 Why do you approach men with lust instead of women? Nay, you are an ignorant people."

(In regard to the Bible, Leviticus 20:13 says, “if a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads”; 1 Corinthians 6:9 says, “Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men”; Leviticus 18:22 says, “Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable”)(So, they are sentenced to death in Judaism and Christianity)(Allah knows best)

52:23 Therein they will pass to one another a cup, therein (there will be) no ill speech and no sin. 52:24 And will circulate among them boys for them, as if they (were) well-protected pearls.

(Some people make the wrong assumption that Verse 52:24 allows homosexuality, while it does not allow it or mention it at all. The context is about passing a cup. Verses 56:17-18 confirm that those boys carry a cup. In addition, Verse 52:23 says “no sin” there. On the other hand, Verse 2:25 says, “they will have therein purified spouses (azwajun)”. The root of “azwajun” is “Zay-Waw-Jiim”, it means “pair, a fellow or like, spouse; zaujain – husband and wife, etc.”. And according to Verses 55:70-74, in the Garden/Paradise (55:62), the males will have females, because “them” in Verses 55:70 and 55:74 is feminine plural)(Similarly, in Judaism, it is said that “Talmud Yalkut Shimoni, Bereshit 20” speaks about having sixty servants in the Garden on Eden, but according to a translation in the book titled “Unum” by “William Sutherland”, it says that “when a righteous arrives, they (the servants) remove clothes in which (they) had been buried, and clothe (them) in white robes”, so it does not speak about sexual relations either)(Allah knows best)

56:17 There will circulate among them immortal boys, 56:18 With vessels and jugs and a cup from a flowing stream,

55:70 In them (fihinna) (are) good and beautiful ones. 55:71 So which (of the) favors (of) your Lord will you both deny? 55:72 Fair ones restrained in the pavilions. 55:73 So which (of the) favors (of) your Lord will you both deny? 55:74 Neither man nor jinn has touched them (yatmith’hunna) before them.

(In the Garden/Paradise (55:62), the males will have females, because “them” in Verses 55:70 and 55:74 is feminine plural)(Allah knows best)

2:25 And give good news to those who believe, and do righteous deeds, that for them (will be) Gardens, under which rivers flow. Every time they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And they will be given therefrom in resemblance; And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein forever.

68:35 Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals? 68:36 What is with you? How do you judge?

(“Muslim” is an Arabic word meaning “one who submits (to God)”. Some non-Muslims think that Muslims could do bad things, or having bad names, but, by definition, Muslims are never criminals (68:35) or do wrong, because they obey God; and what God orders is good. If they were to do wrong, they would lose the status of “Muslim”. So you cannot be Muslim and gay, but one excludes the other, because the gay is not submitting to God, because homosexuality is forbidden. On the other hand, if an atheist, or a Jew, or a Christian is a murder, or rapist, or terrorist, or gay, etc., he still is an atheist, Jew or Christian, because an atheist still does not believe in God, a Jew still has a Jewish mother (which makes him a Jew, according to themselves), and a Christian still believes in Jesus as his savior (regardless of his works, according to themselves))(Allah knows best)

3:85 And whoever seeks other than Islam as religion - then never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be from the losers.

(“Islam” is an Arabic word meaning “submission (to God)”)(Allah knows best)

27:91 "I am commanded only to worship the Lord of this city, the One Who made it sacred and to Him (belongs) all things. And I am commanded to be of the Muslims

(People is commanded to be of the Muslims (aka Submitted), so it is unacceptable to be gay)(Allah knows best)

2:85 Then you are those who kill yourselves and evict a party of you from their homes, you support one another against them in sin and transgression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom; while their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Book and disbelieve in part? Then what should be the recompense for those who do so among you, except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the most severe punishment? And Allah is not unaware of what you do.

41:33 And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteous deeds and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims/those who submit?"

30:29 Nay, those who do wrong follow their desires without knowledge. Then who (can) guide (one) whom Allah has let go astray? And for them there are no helpers.

24:51 (The) only statement (of) the believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them (is) that they say, "We hear and we obey." And those (are) the successful.

72:14 And that among us are Muslims and among us are unjust. And whoever submits, then those have sought the right path.

45:30 Then as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is the clear success.

76:17 And they will be given to drink therein a cup its/(whose) mixture is (of) Zanjabil/(ginger), ... 76:19 And will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them (to be) scattered pearls.
