To whom should you invoke?

To whom should you invoke?

6:64 Say, "Allah saves you from it and from every distress, yet you associate partners."

35:13 He causes to enter the night into the day and He causes to enter the day into the night, and He has subjected the sun and the moon, each running for an appointed term. That is Allah, your Lord, for Him is the Dominion. And those whom you invoke besides Him, they do not possess even (as much as) the membrane of a date-seed.

35:14 If you invoke them, they do not hear your call; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like (the) All-Aware.

2:163 And your God is one God; there is no god except Him, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

30:40 Allah is the One Who created you, then He provided for you, then He will cause you to die, then He will give you life. Is there any of your partners who does anything of that? Glory be to Him and exalted is He above what they associate.

2:186 And when My servants ask you about Me, then indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls Me. So let them respond to Me and let them believe in Me, so that they may be led aright.

25:68 And those who do not invoke with Allah another god, and do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right, and do not commit adultery/fornication. And whoever does that will meet a penalty.

10:106 And do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you. But if indeed you did so, then you (will be) of the wrongdoers."

6:56 Say, "Indeed I am forbidden to worship those whom you call besides Allah." Say, "I do not follow your (vain) desires, certainly I would then go astray, and I (would) not be of the guided-ones."

28:88 And do not invoke with Allah another deity. There is no deity except Him. Everything (will be) destroyed except His Face. His is the judgment, and to Him you will be returned.

37:125 Do you call upon Baal and leave the best of creators – 37:126 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"

72:20 Say, "Only I call upon my Lord, and I do not associate anyone with Him."

27:62 Or Who responds to the distressed one when he calls Him and He removes the evil and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there any god with Allah? Little is what you remember.

4:48 Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives other than that for whom He wills. And whoever associates partners with Allah, then has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin.

5:72 They certainly disbelieve who say, "Indeed Allah - He is the Messiah, the son of Mary." While the Messiah said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates partners with Allah, then surely Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and his abode will be the Fire. And there will be no helpers for the wrongdoers.

5:35 O you who believe, fear Allah and seek the means (l-wasilata) towards Him and strive hard in His way, so that you may succeed.

(Some people wrongly say that Verse 5:35 tells about invoking others than God, while it does not say so at all. It does not say that you have to seek an intercessor (e.g. a Prophet) to invoke him, even though a Prophet might be close to God in position (34:37), but the Verses do not say that they can hear or answer invocations, or that a Prophet will intercede in the matter of their invocations)(According to Verse 3:170, “they receive good tidings about those who have not yet joined them”. The Verse does not say that those who are in the Hereafter hear people’s invocations, but says that they receive good tidings “about” those who have not yet joined, rather than “from” people. So, the Verse is not, for example, about a Prophet being intercessor between invokers and God, to obtain forgiveness, but the Verse is about people in the Hereafter receiving information about those who have not yet joined them, that “no fear on them”)(Allah knows best)

3:169 And do not think of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. Nay, they are alive; they are given provision near their Lord. 3:170 Rejoicing in what Allah bestowed on them of His Bounty, and they receive good tidings about those who have not yet joined them (but are) left behind - that (there will be) no fear on them, nor will they grieve.

4:171 O People of the Book, do not commit excess in your religion and do not say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Glory be to Him, that He (should) have a son for Him. To Him whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

5:73 They have certainly disbelieved, those who say, "Indeed, Allah is the third of three." And there is no god except the One God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, a painful punishment will surely afflict those who disbelieved among them.

60:12 O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you [on] that they will not associate anything with Allah, and not/(nor) will they steal, and not/(nor) will they commit adultery, and not/(nor) will they kill their children, and not/(nor will) they bring (forth) slander they invent [it] between their hands and their feet, and not/(nor) will they disobey you in (the/what is) right, then accept their pledge and ask forgiveness for them (from) Allah. Indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(You cannot ask anything to Muhammad)(At the time of the Prophet, people “came to him”, and he asked forgiveness for them, so, the Prophet invoked God, but you cannot invoke the Prophet to intercede, but Verse 60:12 only refers to people from the time of the Prophet, who came to him)(Allah knows best)
